@rj zander It's an anime actually. I mean if you're going to be an asshole about it, at least know what the fuck you're talking about, when criticizing someone, so that you're not an asshole AND a dumbass both at the same time. Yes, people making lame references on classic rock songs to admittedly pretty good anime annoys me too, but Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a manga and an anime, dumbfuck. It's one thing to be a condescending dickhead, but being ignorant about it too at the same time, never makes you look good. I'm in my 40's and even I think it makes you look like "old man yelling at cloud". P.S: I just came here to hear classic rock songs I love.

Music was great and mostly wholesome with much emphasis on love and attraction. Hardly any anti this and that demonstrations on the streets and on college campuses, hardly any goth guys and gals, no one being amongst themselves due to smart phones and the accompanying online dating which has been rather funky and disastrous, where smoking cigs wasn’t so frowned upon, hardly any mass killings at schools or malls and no degenerate rap music blaring out car windows and at least a healthy respect for law enforcement. This song is about a guy who had a crush on a sweet, innocent girl in his homeroom in high school. Years later, he's looking through a girly magazine and sees his homeroom crush as the centerfold, and it rocks his world - no longer is she the innocent girl in a fuzzy sweater that he dreamed about. Rather than being titillated, he is disappointed, as his "memory has been sold." This was written by the band's keyboard player Seth Justman, who wrote or co-wrote all the tracks on the Freeze Frame album. He insists that the reason you didn't hear much synthesizer on earlier J. Geils albums is because they couldn't afford them: The band was trapped in the record company debt cycle, constantly owing money despite their success. The video was directed by Paul Justman, brother of the song's writer Seth Justman. Paul also directed the band's videos for "Land of 1,000 Dances" and "Freeze-Frame."

@@angelasmith4325 He is initially disappointed, but the twist in the lyrics comes in the final verse when he quickly gets over the initial shock of seeing his idealised teenage crush in a "girly magazine" , accepts reality, and starts imagining going to a motel room with her. Day Thirty-Five of me listening to "Centerfold" everyday for a year. I think this is where I'll stop. It begins to reach a point where you question why you're doing this, and you'll question life itself.

He grew up in my building and was good friends with one of my brothers. He was so talented and so cute. I had a mad crush on him. He went from blank field to wolf because on Halloween he would dress up as the wolfman and scare all the kids in the building. He was always the nicest guy.
