Top Tip! I've found that turning off "Slide Maintains Sprint" removes those accidental dives when using the slide only option. If you are using auto tac sprint by default, slide maintains sprint doesnt need to be turned on.

dolphin dive also gives you further glide distance when pulling your shoot. Another note is using Mountaineer after hitting a redeploy drone you can drop on enemies from a much higher height and shoot them while landing.

With the ‘slide maintains sprint’ option on then you don’t even need to cancel the slide. You just automatically carry on sprinting/tac sprinting at the end of the slide - if you have auto sprint/tac enabled of course. It feels smooth 👍

really looking forward to them separating the slide and dive so they can be bound to different buttons. diving was a major part of the last iteration and had become one of my favorite mechanics to use. it’s just hard to get over the slide delay currently, it makes diving borderline unusable.

Default controller players switch to bumper jumper tactical flipped. Will make all of the movement mechanics simpler and let's you aim and move at the same time without bumpers or playing claw

I’ve noticed that pressing tac sprint (on m&k assume it is the same for controller) seems to cancel a slide the same way that jump does and has the added benefit of not manteling anything which seems to happen a lot using jump to cancel the slide.

For the zip line mechanic it also works if u jump onto the zip and then jump at the top again. Shoots you way higher than pulling back. Watch Biffle’s last 5 videos! He’s doing it all the time. Insane outplay

You can DIVE on slide only; all you have to do is sprint jump and look left, then look the way you was originally and you then hold your dive button. It’s abit tedious at first but once you learn it

It makes using semi-auto weapons very awkward and takes some time getting used to it. You either need a dedicated walk button or stop moving forward. But I don't think there's any meaningful difference, except my pinky finger finally gets to relax.

@@hovnocuc4551 you can actually slide cancel and keep your thumb holding down the spacebar, which will keep you in a walk until you release it. Good for pushing in buildings with a shotgun or akimbo pistols while using auto tac.

In previous videos you told us to put slide only not have a small delay before sliding and now my operator sometimes randomly dolphin jumps and i still can’t figure out how… however saw some streamers like “adrian” that have slide only but they still dolphin jump and parachute from the building. HOW ??? PLS HELP

with certain controllers on PC you can download software to be able to bind and unbind buttons. that’s probably why you’d see adrian being able to do that. he would have slide, and dive both bound to different buttons (no overlap, no delay) call of duty has publicly announced that they’re working on a fix to allow both sliding and diving without delay, so i think we just have to have patience!

*Accessing the ‘dive’ mechanic with ‘slide only’. It’s all down to the timing. If you stand still then tac-sprint forward pressing ‘slide/crouch’ at the same time, you will dive, but only if your gun isn’t pointing up in the tac-sprint animation yet. It’s a very small window… milliseconds. If your gun IS fully up in the tac-sprint animation when pressing ‘crouch’ then you will slide every time. This is on console with ‘slide only’ and ‘slide maintains sprint’ switched on. In Warzone this can be used to your advantage, once you dial in the timing you can use this to dive-parachute off buildings and terrain fairly consistently. Just make sure you are in a full tac-sprint before tapping crouch if you intend to slide instead of dive.✌️

You could… but that would ruin slide cancelling. For me having a snappy slide is more important than diving, but I still want to dive from time to time. Being able to dive-parachute, while behaviour is set to ‘slide only’, just by modifying the input timing has come in clutch. (Dive is supposed to be disabled here 😂) Not sure if any of this was intentional, but kinda shines a light on what some people are finding very annoying when it suddenly happens in the middle of a gunfight, where you randomly end up diving when you intended to slide.

Warzone 2 really cut down my skill level movement wise. I remember taking the time to practice movement in the original warzone. I don't want to even bother taking the time to relearn everything, especially when there's sort of still no point of advanced movement when you just die so fast, thanks to how they did damage multipliers for the recent game.

It's hard to do if you use ctrl to prone and shift to sprint. The same hand and using the pinky finger doesn't help with the synced feeling. I have sprint on mouse4 and just find a rithem between left/right hand to snake while still able to wasd. I started with CoD1 and CoD2 that both didn't have sprint but melee on shift by default

Wheres the new movement “Jump Slide” which is extremely effective in gulag, if the player is over water area it gives a player even more time to ads while sliding, which can be slide canceled at any time 🤔 by sliding while in air when the player lands they go straight into a slide

Not really a fan of how slow and punishing jump and dropshoting or diving delay is. On past titles, you could basically dive and shoot around corners without the dolphin dive. I'm not saying it needs to be that fast, however i do wish it felt closer to the og games. Diving on here to shoot is worse than bo1 or bo2 dd.

The movement feels smooth until the servers start hitching., I think there could be a slight penalty for just spamming slide cancel back to back to many times apex. I think we're going in the right direction for how movement should feel in this kinda game . I think having some kind of inertia in COD would help lend a feeling of weightiness. Now we just need a solution for climbing through windows.
