Don't listen to a word he's saying about these lobbies you're in Nero. These are NOT AVERAGE LOBBIES! These players in your lobby you reverse boosted into Nero are not normal players they are walking and staring into walls and are completely not all there. It feels like JGOD was just saying this because so many of his friends RB into these lobbies you're in Nero so they can drop nukes or get 40 kills in a WZ game. JGOD trying to downplay these people which 100% have something wrong with them. I've seen 9 year old kids with better reaction times and faster movements than these players Nero.

I have a 0.96KD in MW3 multiplayer (i’m not good) and I still get put into lobbies where there are 3-4 other players on my team that are literally just absolutely horrible and we end up getting spawn trapped or losing every game by 100+ points. And it seems like we go up against teams of 4 absolute sweats. Make it make sense.

JGOD, I’m 36, a teacher, played CoD since 2007. According to your data, I’m above average with a 1.4KD on MW3, with a nearly 600spm playing mostly obj modes. I’m only able to play a few hours a week and my lobbies are insufferable. I just don’t have the time to grind, but I’m also at a skill level that puts me in very capable lobbies. It’s no longer a fun hobby - it’s a manipulative workout. I’m not able to ‘get good’ and improve, but I’m also not a ‘bot’ with a balanced variety of lobbies. The current system makes CoD a chore for me…

Yeah I agree man used to be a decent escape now feels like what you said. In the games I play as well Apex, The Finals. It seemed there was a good balance back a couple years where you could grind casual for fun and chaos then hone in for some ranked as well. The FPS market has grown stale.

Cold War FFA was like that. Ran into the same players many times, often lobbies didn't fully disband. You could get rivalries going, learn the camping spots of a player who bodied you for 5 games in a row then curb stomp them after learning their patterns. The way it used to be.

The thing that's most frustrating is that this absolutely punishes people for doing well. It's insane because COD has ALWAYS thrived and been extremely successful even prior to MW2019 when they cranked SBMM; COD games were always top sellers and some of the most widely played games in the world. If Activision could just accept like a 5% loss on their bottom line (which would still make them INSANELY profitable) we could have a much better experience for everyone. Activision catering to shareholders (which legally they have to) has ruined online play. Glory days of online COD are well in the past and SBMM is never going away. Games used to be made for the fun factor, now they are made for player retention.

Lately in MWIII MP I’ve forced myself to not play like normal because it’s the only way for my Dad to play with me. It is reverse boosting but even because I get easier Matches now so he can get a few kills, I still force myself to only get max of 10 kills. I don’t started popping off and abuse it. A big issue also is that the longer they keep SBMM up and continue make it stronger it makes it impossible for them to get rid of it, because then lower skilled people never get pushed to be better and creates the mindset we continue to see that “good/sweaty players ruin the game”

The point is to give the 0.4-0.9 kd casuals a convincing illusion that they're actually really good at the game. If they're having fun and are engaged and keep getting kills, they're gonna return to the game frequently and buy more skins. And in the long run buy the next game, hoping they'll do just as good in that one. Aim assist does the exact same job, and is why they can't roll rotational aim assist back to what it used to be, because the casuals wouldn't think they're as good anymore. Imagine if the loading screen for every match showed them this skill bell curve, pointing out where they are currently sitting on it? They would never play CoD again.

EXACTLY. this is why cod has turned me off over the years. Fortnite has kind of ruined gaming in this sense. Because cod saw how all the skins and bright colors attracted younger gamers and thought , hmmmm I would like some of that. I'm not really a casual gamer but when it comes to COD, I am. I play a little bit every year and boy was it really tough during the first beta weekend. I don't really even understand how just the first game could feel as sweaty as it was. I usually pop in at the start of a COD cycle and get my moneys worth. But as soon as new weapons come out and the meta shifts, I don't have the time to level up new weapons and usually don't end up playing much throughout the year.

Great video Jgod.. just wanna add my opinion - i agree with this video & all the previous COD's before it with the sbmm in the game.. its always a sweaty game which at 1st you run with it but after a couple of months becomes very annoying, especially going up a team etc.. Would also like to add the thing that also kills the game is when i shoot an enemy but die, watch the kill came & i havent laid a bullet on the enemy 😐 .. Im on ps5 with a 1gb connection & have played cod since cod4 being what i like to call a good sweaty player ? There has never really been a level playing field due to different hosts & sbmm.. I would like to see the best servers in each country ehere players can choose to play in just a uk server (might have to wait) or european server or global servers ? The sbmm should only protect under lvl 10-15 imo.

One thing to keep in mind is where in the bell curve a sweaty good player start to appear consistently, and what are the lower and upper limits of each individual bracket. Sometimes feels like they are concentrating a lot of the average players on the mid brackets and the very low skill players are grouped in a single bracket.

I had this very experience with my friend who hosted a party but is an experienced player, this is my first FPS game ever and I got destroyed over and over again because we kept getting put in experienced lobbies, he was doing great but not me and did that for a week, the very next week I played on my own and first game I got 26 kills and died only 6 times. I haven't played COD since BO3 and I was ranked top 500. Jumped on mw3 about a month ago and was so confused why I sucked so bad. Now this all makes sense to me

I went 22-5 and 28-7 in my first two games, and then got thrown into 8 games where I went all negative getting shit on my jackel PDW corner sliding aimbotters It’s crazy Thank god for game pass for saving me £70 on this garbage. Shame because the actual game isn’t even that bad

I work a 9-5 and have a kid so I play maybes 3-4 hours a week at this point. I’ve played COD since WWII and always enjoyed it, but when I played the Beta I was getting destroyed I don’t even want to buy the game anymore.

I find in infuriating they conducted their secret test and basically confirmed that SBMM was more beneficial then not (also said it would get much worse if they removed it, ha) based on black and white analytics where you can't really prove why players were quitting. So they doubled down on non-sense analytics and ASSUMED it would be much worse if they removed it. They respect data over actual feedback and that is what's sad. I played a ton of xDefiant and that game felt amazing just like the old MP for CoD.

I’ve noticed a ping issue with ranked resurgence. I have a friend I play with and I’m considerably better than he is. We live in the same town with the same internet provider but when we play together, it makes my ping jump to nearly 100 every time while his stays around 25. Doesn’t matter if I host or if he hosts. When I play alone or with someone on a similar skill level, my ping is normal.

they should add ranked playlist called "no stacking" - it means only random teammates can join, not friends. And will see who is the boss :D In league of legends on ranked you can only play with your friend, not stacked 5 players

I did not play MW3 much but recently tried it out and I for sure got into 1-2 matches that I legit thought I was playing with BOTs since I was a low level and started playing. But as time went on that changed lol.

This really sucks if you have average friends that want to play with you. My KD is above a 2.5 so when my friends alone they get easy lobbies and they have a good time, when they play with me they get curb stomped and I end up having to carry. It gets really frustrating every game feel like im playing ranked play. Biggest question I have is why do they have a ranked play mode when pubs for me is pretty much ranked play level comp. There is rarely any difference between my pub matches and my ranked play matches. I have quit playing cod for some time now due to this issue....

I think the best way to circumvent this, and it’s experimental, is to not engage in any sort of movement and just play cod how it use to be played where the only movement is walk, sprint, crotch and prone.

I literally can’t stop laughing with these lobbies because I remember doing these exact things when I was 13/14 and I was having a BLAST 😂😂😂 Trick shotting with my sniper and or throwing knife. I used to only go into lobbies with a knife and nothing else, no perks, no guns, nothing 😂😂😂

15:45 This right here is exactly what I want and it’s exactly what I do on Xdefiant. When I am getting destroyed/ my team is in that game I pull out the MP7 but if I realize I don’t need that I use every other gun in the game. This isn’t possible on COD and trust me I got the camo last year, it was like ramming my head through a wall.

I've been playing Outlaws lately, and boy I forgot how refreshing a game can be without SBM in it. Outlaws isn't great, it has its flaws, but I'm enjoying it way more than COD right now. Nice not to have to change my T-Shirt after 30mins of COD ;-)
