We are all fans of many bands but Ian Anderson and Tull on 50 years of reflection i think are certainly amongst the very elite. Anderson was not only a great songwriter, musical composer and arranger but played many instruments superbly well. Also self taught. And although maniacally looking on stage was one of the few that didn’t allow fame to overtake him Incredibly humble person

I don't understand how this video can get 50 unlikes. Ian and Jethro Tull is one of the best bands in the world. ❤ Love this song and love Ian. He has a great voice and can play many instruments 🎸 Good music. I love 60s and 70s ❤ Better music than nowadays ☺

Every time i listen to this song I get a brain shiver...this song really resonates within me... I can feel it...sometimes I even tear up... I must have heard it a thousand times or more in my life time... it only gets better.. it still an olde friend io never tire of.

Can you believe there was a time when pop musicians wrote their songs? When the melody was more than 5 notes and actually provoked feelings? When speaking in a song was a stylistic element and not a whole genre?

My first real girlfriend had this to say about Jethro Tull (after watching him sing and perform). "Well, I learned something new today! You don't have to be good at something to be good." We were teenagers and I thought to myself, "She is so profound. How did she come up with that???"

Absolute Classic. Never before or since did T.O.P have any song (or band) like this on it. Barre, Cormick and company (looking like they didnt want to be there)bored out of their heads cause their miming. Female dancers havent got a clue what to do.Jimmi can;t understand it !! But Ian gives it 150% with his facial antics and the most scary eyes (and dodgy teeth) in the business. Worth it for the visuals alone - made me laugh out loud. Nothing like this or this good would get 'on air' today.

This has always been my favorite song from that time and i never tire listening to it. I had a very good friend called Ciggy Shaw who was a drummer with the rocking vickers, Who played gigs around the Blackpool area, Ian Anderson was a friend of their's and ciggy used to tell me tales of what they all used to get up to.Wish i had been there, sadly Ciggy Passed away 2010 miss him lots and his stories. Keep rocking Jethro Tull.

You and I must be about the same age as I used to go to the Queens (if I remember correctly) on a Sat night where Rev Black and the Rocking Vicars were regulars. Their rhythm guitarist (can't remember his name) joined my friend's group, The Moonie Gang to beef up their line up. Ah, those were the days!!!

these guys and the moody blues are the most underated groups ever.. Both are not in the rock and roll Hall of fame which is criminal.. Both are easily in the same level as the Who Pink Floyd and Zep

Lend me your ear while I call you a fool. You were kissed by a witch one night in the wood, and later insisted your feelings were true. The witch's promise was coming, believing he listened while laughing you flew. Leaves falling red, yellow, brown, all are the same, and the love you have found lay outside in the rain. Washed clean by the water but nursing its pain. The witch's promise was coming, and you're looking elsewhere for your own selfish gain. Keep looking, keep looking for somewhere to be, well, you're wasting your time, they're not stupid like he is. Meanwhile leaves are still falling, you're too blind to see. You won't find it easy now, it's only fair. He was willing to give to you, you didn't care. You're waiting for more but you've already had your share. The witch's promise is turning, so don't you wait up for him, he's going to be late.
