Upwas amboli... Surprised to read? But yes, you can definitely have a one though you are fasting. It is very easy and simple recipe. It tastes just awesome and becomes nice and soft. It is light on stomach and a really quick recipe. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1/4 cup Sabudana
• 1 cup Varai
• 1/4 cup Curd (Optional)
• Salt to taste
• 1 cup Water
• 1/2 tsp Eno fruit salt
Method:
• Take sabudana in a blender jar and blend it into powder.
• Add varai and blend together into fine powder.
• Transfer the flour into a bowl.
• Add curd, salt, water and mix well.
• You can use lemon juice or buttermilk in place of curd.
• Add a little water at a time to make runny batter.
• Rest the batter for about 15-20 minutes.
• Add Eno fruit salt and mix well.
• If you don’t want to add eno then ferment the batter overnight. In such case, no need to add
eno.
• Heat up a pan on medium heat.
• Spread oil on the pan.
• Add batter at the center and spread it well.
• Cover and cook for about 3-4 minutes until lower side is cooked well.
• When lower side gets nice brown color take the amboli off the pan into a dish.
• Upwas amboli is all ready.
• Serve it with upwas chutney.
