Join us on an unforgettable journey through the heart of India, where the wild beauty of the desert forest of Jhalana comes alive. This isn’t just a dream, but a reality for our group of adventurers - Kiran, Samrat, Sidhhart, Niket, Sutapa, Nilesh, Shanghmitra, and Veena.
Our adventure begins high above the clouds, as we board a flight from Mumbai to Jaipur. The breathtaking view from the plane is just a taste of the natural beauty we’re about to encounter. Upon landing, the air is electric with anticipation as we prepare for our upcoming leopard safari.
The Connaught House, our home for the next few days, welcomes us with open arms. Over a delicious dinner, we share stories, laughter, and our hopes for the safari ahead.
As dawn breaks, we set off on our first safari, guided by the experienced Hemant Dabi. The desert forest comes alive around us, and we’re immediately immersed in its wild beauty. We’re treated to a spectacular display of wildlife, each species showcasing its unique beauty and behaviors.
From the Grey Francolin, a little ground-dwelling bird with a big personality, to the Black-winged Kite, a master of aerial acrobatics, each creature we encounter adds to the rich tapestry of life in the Jhalana Leopard Safari Park.
As the sun begins to set, we embark on our evening safari. The air is thick with suspense - will we spot the park’s most elusive resident, the leopard? As the evening safari unfolds, we’re treated to a dazzling array of wildlife sightings, each more captivating than the last.
Finally, as the golden light of dawn paints the Jhalana desert forest, a powerful presence emerges from the tall grasses. Rana, a magnificent leopard, muscles rippling beneath his spotted coat, pads slowly towards a shimmering water hole. His amber eyes scan the surroundings, a low growl rumbling in his chest. He is aware of our watchful presence, these wildlife enthusiasts eager to capture his regal image on camera.
Join us as we dive into the details of these unforgettable encounters, focusing on the species not yet covered. Stay tuned for more videos covering the Indian Desert and its fascinating wildlife.
