Hello Guys Welcome to @Skies&miles . I am back with another Exciting Vlog of my recent Jhalong trip in monsoon. Jhalong is a small village situated on the banks of river Jaldhaka, near India-Bhutan border in Kalimpong. The serene ambiance and scenic beauty of Jhalong has made it a favored offbeat destination of Dooars region. Bindu has become a major attraction of Jhalong. This hydroelectric project is the first of its kind in India with permission tourist can visit the dam. Located close to Bhutan border the dam on river Jaldhaka also act like a bridge towards Bhutan. Jaldhaka Hydel project in Jhalong, Bindu is one of the main hydel projects located by the river Jaldhaka. Jhalong picnic spot is also located near the project. One can see how electricity is being produced here. The roads are very adventurous here, specially for bike riding. Jaldhaka is one of the main attractions of north bengal for the tourists all over the world. Travelling towards Rocky Island, Suntalekhola, Samsing from Jhalong Bindu is worth riding. What a beautiful journey, very scenic travel passing through the dense forests,really paradise for forest lovers, why the rivers are dry in the mid monsoon, really bengal and north east states are full of natural beauty.
