Agree, I do listen to her new stuff time to time it nothing beats her older music. Sailing soul (s), sail out, and souled out is her classics however all her hits were with the first two mixtapes/Eps the most. Trip was alright but it’s an album she just writes/showing us on journey through her emotional state of mind while under the influence of different drugs. I only liked psilocybin, sativa, & mystic journey freestyle from that album the most m. The 2011 to 2013 Jhene Aiko was not playing at all because all those eps you didn’t have to skip a song 😂. She definitely was in her grind mode in her early years, i wish she would’ve kept that vibe going from 2011 all the way to 2017 but I know artists grow, mature, go through life like every human being and they make music based off their life experiences in a current state most of the time that’s why people are always shocked with different sounds. I love her voice, lyrics and melodies.
