Thanks Jorb, but question: is the xlr input low impedence, expecting a mic, and the 1/4" high impedence, expecting an instrument? I was surprised you were going into the pedal from your ARP through the XLR (without a direct box) because of impedence matching issues.

Hey Jorb! Appreciate the video! Do you have any insight on how this compares to the Chase Bliss Automatone for synths / drum machines? Most of the Automatone videos I’ve seen are tailored for guitar (understandably), so just curious if you’ve been able to use that on electronic gear. Thanks again!
@JorbLovesGear3 ай бұрын
@@BradCox-d3w I haven't tried it, but speaking generally, the colourbox is pretty specific / pretty idiosyncratic as a drive pedal. Automatone is pretty flexible, closer to something like brothers or analog heat

@mikepecchio-gk1bcАй бұрын
Neve did not use Lundahl transformers in any of their products. Not the 1073, not anything else. The sound of the classic modules is mostly due to the special gapped output transformer with dc current flowing in the primary, which this pedal also does not have. Not to mention the inductor based EQ…Cool pedal, but it is a huge stretch to say this is anything like a 1073 (I worked for AMS Neve 25 years ago)
