I absolutely love this pedal. I have it in front of an Orange Micro Dark and I can get anything from smooth overdrive to paint peeling distortion. I spent a long time searching for a new distortion/overdrive since I found out from the JHS Show my Guyatone tube distortion TD-1 could kill me via electrocution due to the power cable lacking a proper ground and was searching ever since until I came across this beauty. The variety, the options for tone, the boost mode, this pedal has it all. Fairly affordable considering the pedal market, too!

I use a JHS Morning Glory as an overdrive that goes to a JHS At+. As a part of my G.A.S. I often try to invent the need for a tube preamp, and the reality is that I love my tone. The JHS At+ is the perfect Marshall In a Box: the most versatile JMC800-type pedal, that flawlessly takes an overdrive for super high gain sound. I have a Laney IRT Studio that sounds incredible, but I always use the same rig: morning glory --> AT+ > Boss Katana with time-based fx (delay and reverb).

Why don't you just buy yourself a real tube amp? And then use those pedals in front of that.

@@jdl2180 I have a real tube amp (like I said, a Laney IRT studio and a Marshall 1x12 cab). The Laney's distortion is beautiful, organic, smooth. If im using the laney, I have no need to use de AT+ because the results are pretty much the same. But because I have a family and a small apartment, I have to opt for more compact options. Thats where the AT+ comes in handy My point is that, at least at bedroom volumes, the tube distortion of the Laney is very similar to what the AT+ offers me with the Morning Glory as an overdrive. And is a very small rig with awesome results. The Katana is an excellent pedal plataform. There is not much difference between connecting the AT+ to the Laney and connecting it to the Katana
