JHS is a shining example of what people mean when they say authenticity is what it takes to succeed in building a modern brand. You can't synthesize it, but when it's there, the response is incredible. By the very nature of its humility, I don't think Josh or the company give themselves enough credit for how incredibly well this community responds to their honesty, joy, and connection with the customer. Truly remarkable, should be an inspiration for any industry.

"Shimmer" is actually a term that Eno gave to a different effects treatment of feeding a long-ish reverb/delay into the Yamaha SPX90 "Symphonic" effect or the Lexicon Chorus Delays algorithm from the Lexicon PCM70 and then feeding that entire process back into itself using the aux sends/returns on the mixing console. So "Shimmer" was actually a multi-chorused long decay reverb. Eno called that chorused reverb effect treatment Shimmer because the sound evoked the feeling and visual of the shimmering water when the sun shines down on the gentle waves rippling across it's reflective surface. One famous pedal company from California incorrectly named the recirculating octave reverb on their first ever reverb pedal effect "Shimmer" when taking cues from the word Shimmer on the front panel backlit display of The Edge's Lexicon PCM70 unit in his refrigerator rack, captured in a documentary film made during the U2 Vertigo tour. Neither Eno or Lanois ever named this octave reverb feeding back into itself effect anything because it was to be kept top secret. Some have tried to reverse engineer it, but I have yet to hear the original effect created using the [AMS 15-80s Pitch Changer Delay, Lexicon M93 Prime Time Digital Delay & Lexicon 224 Hall B reverb] correctly re-created by anyone. I use the original equipment on my song "Leaving The World Behind" and take shot at a similar sound as what first appeared on Harold Budd's "The Pearl" album, where the recirculating octave reverb effect first appeared.

Just received the 3 Series Harmonic Trem and it’s already on my live board. It fills a long lived gap in my sonic palate for a fraction of the cost of some of the more expensive variants. This is where the three series shines. It addresses both the bread and butter effects that we all use on a day to day basis AND reaches into more uncommon sounds that you might only use once or twice during a show. Well done JHS, you are crushing it.

I'm serious when I say that these 3 series JHS pedals are one of, if not _the_ best thing Josh/JHS have ever done. They sound fantastic while each is also "their own thing" in terms of their sound and not being a *total* derivative of something else. The form factor is also cool, simple and effective/flexible, the parts, PCB and build is as good as anything and for $100 a piece?? You really cannot beat it. There a few which I'd literally choose on their own merit over other in heir category, regardless of price. If one day (hopefully far, far away or better yet, never) they're no longer being produced, they would quickly become one of those highly sought after, exponentially increasing in aftermarket value pedals that were once the affordable stuff in every music shop that the gear snobs didn't want then but fight over now because they're favorite session musician swears by them (which btw I think Josh Scoot would love). A'la the Ibanez 10 series stuff like the Mostortion and TS10, the Nobels ODR-1, the Ibanez "Sound Tank" EM-5 Echo Machine, the DOD Meat Box etc etc. The best part is unlike most of that stuff, you wouldn't need to have them rehoused because they're already built like tanks. The only thing they _maybe_ would need being a replacement foot switch every 20 years of 15,000 stomps. Anyhow, rant over. I just wanted to give dude and his team props on those things, They deserve it. The hardest part was deciding which to go with first.

Wow. I’ve always felt like I had the reverb part of my tone covered, but man, that Octave Reverb sounds incredible. Definitely one of those things I didn’t realize I needed, until I saw/heard it. So cool.

I just saw the Emily Hopkins video. Just perfect. I hope you are releasing on too. Please and thanks you.

You play one note with the reverb and it's so touching! I hope I get my hands on one of those one day. Great jams as usual.

When Josh first holds up the pedals at 0:11 I assumed they were minis. I forgot that Josh is 7.5 feet tall.
