下面是本节课程的文字稿，如果对您有帮助的话，欢迎点赞订阅支持我们，感谢观看！ 《The House You Build》 The old carpenter had worked hard for many years. 老木匠工作了许多年。 He was ready to retire and leave his job. 他准备退休并离开工作岗位。 His boss asked him to build one last house before he left. 他的老板请他在离开前再建最后一栋房子。 Feeling tired, the carpenter wanted to finish quickly. 木匠感到疲惫，只想尽快结束。 He chose cheap wood and skipped careful measurements. 他选用廉价的木材，没有仔细测量。 The work was rushed, and little care was given. 工程匆匆了事，他没多加用心。 The house appeared fine from the outside. 房子从外表看还不错。 However, its interior revealed poor craftsmanship and low quality. 然而，内部却暴露出粗糙的工艺和低劣的质量。 To the carpenter’s surprise, his boss handed him the keys to the house. 让木匠意外的是，老板把房子的钥匙交给了他。 “This is my gift to you for your retirement,” said the boss. “这是我送给你的退休礼物，”老板说。 In that moment, the carpenter realized the house was his own. 那一刻，木匠意识到这栋房子是留给自己的。 A deep shame washed over him for his careless work. 一股深深的羞愧涌上心头，因为他的敷衍了事。 But he knew the past could not be changed. 但他明白过去无法改变。 From that day forward, he embraced every task as if it were for himself. 从那天起，他对每一项任务都全力以赴，就像是为自己而做。
