Just came across your video, welcome to Toronto! Many supermarkets here will do price matching, meaning if you show them their competitors’ advertised price, you will pay that price for the product you are going to purchase. All you need to do is show the weekly flyer (either paper version or app) to the cashier when check out. But first of all, you need to check if the supermarket near you will accept price matching.

Living in Toronto comes with its ups and downs, including concerns about the rising crime rate. Staying informed and taking precautions can help manage that risk. Toronto still has a lot to offer with its diversity, culture, and opportunities, and I hope you're enjoying your time here. 💪💛

Welcome to Canada. After living in Toronto more than 25 years, I believe Toronto is a heaven for Hong Konger
Interesting experiences especially you talk about grocery shopping. As a new married couple 3 years old, I pretty much experienced the same even we have car access.

The vertical and horizontal lines different The vertical line of the subway is safer This is my impression
I don't believe this is a good move, to be honest. Canada is not a place for young people to advance their careers. There are still opportunities in Toronto. My team at RBC, working in quantitative finance and all CFA certified, are earning CAD $200k+ (1M+ HKD) a year, but there are better places with more opportunities, where you can double your salary with similar experience, such as the USA, London, UK, or even Hong Kong. Canada is still okay, with places like Vancouver being decently safe and clean for raising a family. If families want to save on international school tuition fees, sending their kids to school in an English-speaking environment in Canada (Vancouver) is still a decent option. But other than that, I don't think it's worth it. Its worth the try though. Good luck and take care.

I live in London and I don’t believe it is much better than Canada 😂 UK companies are now extremely picky on who they want to employ, even high quality locals e.g. those with masters/ even MBA, struggle to find a new job if they want a decent salary. A lot of HKers are then trying to be self-employed/ open restaurants here. I think it really depends on your life goals, maybe when you find a new community, you will meet your life partner here instead of advancing your career. Maybe you will develop other passions in life. BUT if you want to advance your career, in terms of tax, salary level and acceptance of immigrants, HK is actually a dream place. Many British Chinese/ British are moving back to HK on their 30s/ 40s when they realize the harsh truth about UK 😢
