【教大情短片】校友Denis的舍堂故事🏡

教大的教育傳承，可追溯至1881年成立的第一所官立師範學堂，並且歷經在不同階段誕生和持續發展的五所教育學院。過百年的承傳，孕育了一個個動人故事。趁著教大慶祝三十周年校慶，校友及拓展事務處製作了三段校友「教大情」的短片，分別追溯母校裡的愛情、舍堂情及師生情。第二段推出的是「舍堂情」短片。

校友Denis在求學期間，曾入住羅富國堂、柏立基堂和賽馬會學生宿舍，而多元的舍堂文化深深影響了他。畢業後，Denis懷著熱誠在母校擔任英語教育學系講師和葛量洪堂的助理社監。Denis將自己在前舍監身上獲得的啟發，以及在舍堂的經歷，融入到現時管理舍堂的工作及與宿生日常相處中。他用心為宿生建立融洽的舍堂文化，並加強他們對舍堂的歸屬感，讓每位宿生享受舍堂生活。

[EdUHK Connections short films] Denis’ Hall Life Story 🏡

The educational legacy of EdUHK can be traced back to the first government normal school founded in 1881, followed by the establishment and continuous development of the five former colleges of education. Over one hundred years of heritage have seen a myriad of touching stories. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of EdUHK’s founding, Alumni Affairs and Development Office produced three short films of alumni interviews to document their relationship with EdUHK: between a couple, with a residential hall, and between teacher and student. The second video is “Homely Residential Halls”.

During his studies at the EdUHK, alumnus Denis was deeply inspired by the diverse culture of various halls he dwelt in, including Northcote Hall, Robert Black Hall and the Jockey Club Student Quarters. After graduation, Denis returned to his alma mater with passion, joining the EdUHK as a Lecturer in the Department of English Language Education and also as the Assistant Warden of Grantham Hall. Drawing on the insights he gained from his former warden and his hall life experience, Denis has integrated these influences into his current role in managing the hall and interacting with student residents. He is dedicated to fostering a harmonious hall culture and enhancing students’ sense of belonging, enabling them to enjoy their hall life.
