The playing of Canteen is not only a treat for the ears, but also for the eyes. To see his hands play is a show of excellent technique, and his posture is perfect. It also helps that his expression is one of happiness.

Hayato Sumino can make this grand piano sound like it is as light as a leaf floating away with a warm, gentle breeze.
I've been listening to classical music for decades and my favourite pianists are Emil Gilels (the best of the best) and Sviatoslav Richter. Based on this performance, I reckon Hayato Sumino has the potential to become a legendary pianist. This is an unusually elegant rendition of this sonata in my opinion, especially the first movement. On the whole, Hayato is in total command of the piece, he has such perfect technique and plays with such ease that it almost sounds like a perfect improvisation. Beethoven himself liked to improvise and I think Hayato brings out that element in Beethoven's writing here, all the while hitting every note at the right moment, bringing the piece fully to life.
うわー、かてぃさんがベートーベンを上手に演奏できるとは知りませんでした!将来に、熱情, テンペスト、月の光のソナタを演奏することを願っています I didn't know Cateen was great at Beethoven! I want him to play Appassionata and Tempest next, but especially the Moonlight sonata-I want to hear his interpretation of the 3rd movement.

What a pleasure, what a treat of sound! Like most of what Canteen plays, it is clear, musical, honest, impeccable. His playing the piano is like the ice skating of Yuzuru Hanyu: breathtaking. I like it and value it as much as the more traditional performances of the German old masters. It shows that classical music is universal. If I close my eyes, I can imagine that this is the playing of a young Wilhelm Kempff on a happy day.

Fortunately I know Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata. It was played wonderfully. However, as I think I am not the only spectator and listener from Europe, it would be very nice if you also described your videos in English, with Latin characters. Thank you so much and greetings from Germany.

Here is "Google Translate" From "Classic Club" broadcast on October 15th [About Beethoven's works] Beethoven's way of building harmonies is quite good, especially this "Waldstein" which was written when the range of the piano was expanding and the piano was evolving a lot, and he often uses high and low ranges, but that also has a powerful masculine charm that is typical of Beethoven, and when I listen to those pieces again, I think, "Wow, that's really cool." It's like rock, or like the guitar is playing really hard on the low strings, and I feel that it's very similar in coolness, so I thought it would be interesting to compare it with Chopin, and I played it this time. [About my diverse activities] I want to deliver music and have people enjoy it, and that hasn't changed at all. My activities on KZbin and playing classical music at concerts were originally completely separate, and I thought a lot about how I could balance them both, but then I realized that it's the same as what Franz Liszt did 200 years ago. When I thought about the fact that I play classical music from that time, and also compose and arrange music and improvise, I realized that I don't need to think of these two things as separate, and I think they have a positive influence on each other.
