This place is considered one of the Top 6 Most Beautiful Countryside of China.
In this video, I will be showing you the general Gyalrong village, the village area and houses, and Ancient Watchtowers or defence towers, I saw these kinds of watch towers in Georgia, The towers served as family living quarters, defence fortresses and personal treasuries.

was there a few years back. got lost in the bush while exploring the towers. a young man appeared and offered help. he told us story of his grand father. he was in the Red Army doing the Great March. conditions was too harsh and he ran away. fearing that he might be caught as a deserter, he went deep into the valley and finally settled down near Danba. he kept the secret to himself and only told his grandson before his death. the grandson is now going to Sichuan University in Chengdu

And we are Thai people. Can we travel to Danba by ourselves or must we use a guide? If the locations that you want to visit are in Sichuan, Gansu or QingHai province, you don’t need a special permit. If you want to visit Tibet Province, you need to apply a special permit and book a tour package.
