I love that he brought up the whole Wings situation, because that has been bothering me for some time. It doesn't make sense to have his wings damaged if his Grace was stolen and he was human when he fell. Kinda glad he's as confused as I am, lol

he and other angels have broken wings because heaven is closed and they can't fly(teleport) from place to place

I thought his wings were damaged because he only got a small amount of his Grace back as the rest had been used, and there wasn't enough to bring his wings back to full strength? That was my take on it anyway.

I've personally always seen the wing thing less as when the Angels fell and more as symbolic of him getting closer to humanity and farther away from being an angel...because we don't always see his wings we wouldn't see the process of the feathers slowly falling out and cas wouldn't tell Sam and Dean about it

Castiel's wings are most likely damaged because of his trip to hell. We all know he personally picked up Dean and brought him back. Hell's fire is very strong, and Cas being an angel meaning it severely damaged Castiel's wings. Not to mention the fact that an angel from heaven broke into to hell to save an innocent soul, which meant demons were probably all over Castiel leaving his wings damaged. It could be symbolic as well, we all know Castiel has gone through many things which leaves him to understand human emotions and be a little broken.

But he saved Dean at the beginning of season 4, and at the end of the first episode he shows his wings and they're fine...
