As far as I know, to be nominated as Daesang winner, they are usually the leader of a famous show. There are many ‘comedian’ roles in a show but their roles is to make things funnier while Seung Gi’s role is pull out the lessons, manage the activities in the show (kinda like control the core of the show). So Yang Se Huyng is not in the position for Daesang actually despite being funny and all. I love Seung Gi but I dont watch other shows so I dont know if there is anyone more deserved than him. I only watch Master in the house and I would say well-deserved.

For those who doubt about him, u should take a look at behind the scenes of the show, his interview regarding his work, and his sunbae opinion on him. He is work hard to reach this level, step by step. From that shy usher in X-man to being a leader in Jibsabu ilchae. He is not gaining this for nothing. Even during the sbs entertainment award, the main mc, Kim jong kook or park so Hong (I forgot the name) praised him , because he is the one that responsible to invite most of the master to guest in his show. He even said that seunggi really good with staff and how it just 1% prove that he is someone that illegible enough. His show will flop without him though, the first episode already get double digits rating even though the show is raw and then it then spread international widely thanks to his existence. Shin dong you, Yoo jae Suk become hint fairy for the show also praised his skills. And Kang ho dong also praised him that he lead well MITH in Knowing Brothers. So this is award is very meaningful. Of course,i wish the MC stop asking Jaesuk about his chances of winning when in fact,he already told many times that he wish to let others win. Why don't KBS,SBS,MBC,JTBC make a special achievement award & give to Yoo Jae Suk,Kang Hodong,Shin Dong Yup & the rest of MC. They deserve more than daesang.
