JID is probably, simultaneously, a producer's wildest dream and worst nightmare. He's going to challenge the beat and if it's not hard, he's easily going to overshadow the beat. On the flip side, he really seems like the type of artist to bring out the best in a produce/ do whatever they want to do since they know he'll be able to weave in and out of the beat ALSO... y'all did not just casually mention meeting one of the dopest singers in rock.

I'm not really a huge fan of Rap but watching you guys react and break down the Rap songs has given me an appreciation for the art and lyricism of the genre. I remember old school Rap seemed to be about how clever you could be with your use and flow of the words, and somewhere along the way, Rap (mainstream commercial rap) lost that clever edge...It's good to see that aspect of the genre make a powerful return.
