The store analogy makes PERFECT sense. People go with what they are familiar with. As an artist you have a product for sale that needs to stand out in a flooded market. That’s my goal this year. I got tons of music but the business is the weak point that needs more love this year before releasing anything. Great drop right here

Yeah, leaving the marketplace comes from a lack of belief. Russ said that in his book about owning your desires basically saying that people don't fully commit to things they want so they can say that didn't want it bad enough anyway. 6:18 that corny quote was a gem. 6:51 not having the right information can lead to burn out. Will be joining the 30 day challenge now! The grocery store analogy was brilliant! Around 12:48 you made me think about the different triggers in the human mind that fuel our habits if us as artist can be thought about every time someone thinks "Real, or Funny, or Compassionate, or Ratchet" you as the artist come to mind for there place to indulge in that type of content for whatever mood and moment they feel and I guess that comes with consistently branding yourself to fit that mold (cause every time I wanna hear some real shyt I pull up Larussel I know he coming with meat and potatoes just like you are with branding. 12:50 was a gem as well! 14:50 your brilliant im with you on that one. Where can I buy a No Labels Necessary hoodie from? 16:40 - I can dig that (thats too much game right there) - 19:38 - Colors and graphics do really play apart in that especially in the mind of consumers I can see a artist from a mile away and almost know exactly what they will be rapping about based off how they dress, the type of pictures they take even the effects they put on their content (ex. VHS look, Blurred Motion, Long stacked jeans, Big Boots, Rockstar Gothic leather jackets) - When the student is ready the teacher will appear ~ Bhudda ... Thank you Brandman this was full of value, im super grateful. Superstar artist lets have a great year this year!

Comparing music to a grocery store is a very interesting concept. However brands pay to be placed in a particular section on the market. The top and bottom shelf is the worst placement in the market. The middle part of the shelve is the best because its eye level. Your music is the same way like a Google search engine. Business like Amazon and Temu make sure they're at the top of the feed because theyre able to be seen. People are generally lazy and will just try whats easy . So clicking on the website thats at the top of the feed is easy .Sean did a old video about omnipresence being everywhere all the time for a successful event. If your on a budget and want your music to be heard you have to work harder and keep putting your music out even of its the same song like 5 times a day as if its a new entry. Dont just put a song out and let it sit keep reposting it over and over.

Honestly JIDs message is the same to me as most these other rappers…people say it’s coincidental but his mention of Soddom and Gomorrah and others prove that he is just part of the schemes. I can’t really listen to people who did things to get famous and run with certain groups even if they have talent…..all this shit got to weird when I got deep into it

They choose the can of beans their familiar with or been hearing a lot of good stuff about. I think, as an artist, we may go ghost because we paying so we not expecting to have to do much. If I gotta do this that and the third then why am I paying 🤷🏾‍♂️ it starts to feel like a waste of time/money and becomes discouraging (just my opinion)

u still have to complete the assignments. like u will be asked to post certain kinds of videos on a certain schedule, etc. you're paying for guidance and consultation just as much as anything else. but i do understand your point. it's just impossible not to be involved. even major label artists have to show up for morning interviews etc

Or they realize their music is trash. Music should sell itself. If you have to pitch a song IMO, go back to the drawing board. Every good artist does self reflection and sometimes we objectively come to the conclusion that we should have seen in the beginning. It's about followers and tik-toks and the bag and content and not about the music anymore.
