There is only one true type of Christian, what the guy said with “that type of Christian” is dumb. The Bible teaches clearly that homosexuality is terrible and disgusting and the same with all the sexual sins or things that would make us stray from Gods design. As Christians we believe in the Bible as the foundation of our faith and affirming gay people would directly contradict it making it a heresy. It is heretical and blasphemous to Gods name and design for us to think we are the masters of our bodies and our happiness. We were not made to be sexual creatures unlike what modern culture teaches us pushed by the old ideas of evolution (which are laughable, and to believe in them would be to scoff in Gods sovereignty) and the idea that man is an animal which we are not. We are all made in Gods image and our identity should firstly be in Christ, not in sex. Our happiness is dictated by God not the other way around. It’s hard for some people to swallow but the truth of Gods eternal word often is. Man was made to work and bring glory, and the women was made to bear children and create beauty, both were designed together to bring eternal, holy beings into the world, making it a truly magnificent thing. Marriage is also representative of Christ and his bride, the Church. For a pastor too bring them in union or for a photographer to try to make beautiful pictures out of two dudes kissing would be a blatant lie. I am not scared of saying what the Bible says as Christ did not tell me to be scared, he told me to be strong and courageous, and compassionate and steadfast. If more people had Godly fathers the 🏳️‍🌈 population would drop an insane amount. When people do not have an eternal father and a physical father above them, they seek affirmation in other places. This is why modern culture has tried so hard to pushback against a Godly patriarchy, it would straddle feminism, LGBTQ, pornography, drugs, whores, and most things modernity loves too hard, Christ will always be the answer, even for those that seem far gone, have a good day. Sorry for my article length comment.

There is a quote I'll take to my grave and that's "if someone can't truly be themselves, everyone loses". Cause if someone can't truly live their way in life and be their happiest, spreading that happiness, everyone loses. It's an important lesson to never impose if it doesn't affect you. I could never respect christianity as a queer person. Someone who could with confidence say I deserve eternal torture in hell for who I am, I can never respect. But I also know if someone has found fulfillment in life, even in faith, and their way of life doesn't affect me, why should I impose? In the end nobody would benefit, so it's better to let everyone be happy. That's an important distinction to make.

I don’t agree with homophobia and I think in a lot of christian circles there’s a huge lack of understanding towards homosexuality but flying a “pride” flag in any church regardless of what the pride is for is wrong. I have no problem with churches not gay bashing i personally think that’s great as someone who doesn’t think that’s a choice but flying any flag in a church that doesn’t pertain to god or jesus is just wrong. I do think it’s nice to see churches trying to bring lgbt people in even if you truly believe that’s wrong your still supposed to preach to them about what god and jesus do but that’s just blatantly against the bible even as someone who believes the evidence of those passages being about pedophila and not homosexuality
