We are returning to Lake Fork to go crappie fishing using a jig fishing technique to catch black crappie off shallow water stumps. This lake can be tough at times but is well known for it's super healthy population of bass, crappie and other freshwater fishes.

When I was 12, I caught an 18 1/2” 3 1/2 lb Crappie in a reservoir in Northern California! Love Crappie fishing at night too, used to go to Lake Shasta in Nor Cal!

Catching those 4-5 lb fish on those ultra lights is a BLAST. I actually recently started doing ultralight fishing in salt water and man oh man, catching a pompano on what is essentially a crappie rig is other worldly.

Hey man, Florida fisher here. I don’t know if things are different in Texas, but down here beetle spins catch them like no other. On a slow retrieve they’ll hit it on the dive. May try that for the bigger studs. Awesome vid bud, stay safe.

The spawn is going strong here in Central Missouri. Fished 8 out of the last 10 days, limited every day. Only on the last day did I find any on the banks. Biggest of all the trips was 14.5", at just over 1.5 lbs, yesterday.
