I have had interaction with rise up and they help so many people with other needs also. You are angels ,thank you for the hard work you do! This organization is one of the few that actually gives all money donated to the people in need. Food clothing medical treatment, I have even seen them give rides to doctor appointments. They sometimes have to walk far distances just to bring help and food to people where cars cannot reach. I wish there were more people like rise up, the world needs this. Love you guys! Really, really good job, Dorice. That’s got to be painful on your fingers! Festus’ skin is like leather. I truly respect the work you do so much! It reminds me of the verse, “Whatever you do, work at it with your whole heart, for the Lord and not for men, because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” - Colossians 3:23-24 I know it’s a tedious and often thankless job. I did wonder, is anyone donating hydrogen peroxide? Blessings! ❤

I have noticed that they don't wash the feet afterwards or use appropriate anti biotic cream and bandages to protect the open wounds. This is ground for serious infection like sepsis. If you are going to do it please do it properly.

They do wash after and apply antibiotic ointment. Just because you don't see it does not mean it's not happening. Try to be kind....I promise it won't hurt you.

You evidently didn’t read the sign at the end of the clip. They are very knowledgeable about what needs to be done and they do it. They are a blessing to these poor people. May GOD be with them and guide their work.

They know and do exactly what is necessary. It takes hours, not minutes, to get the bugs and dead tissue off of these people. Then someone else washes and checks their feet to make sure no bugs were left. Then they clean and apply antibiotic cream to the feet. The whole process takes hours upon hours.

These jiggers are absolutely hurrendous bless these people,its so pity full seeing what damage they do to the children woman and men, you are all so kind,ive watched over time where hospital have refused to treat them,you and all your team are absolutely amazing how you care for all these people,i love watching especially this lady she,s so professional at the job, bless her, this poor man has certainly been attacked really bad, NASTY 🤢 horrible things,, THANKYOU and bless you all for what you do for these poor people,as well as clothes shoes, blankets concreting there homes, getting there medication when needed, you are all angels, everyone of you xxxx❤ love to all XXXX

Depois que eles passam por este procedimento eles vão para outro voluntário que faz uma limpeza rigorosa em uma bacia com água e um tipo de medicamento, Sim antes desse procedimento elas passam anestésico que alivia um pouco a dor, os humildes casebres que eles moram são higienizados com tipo de inseticida nas paredes e no pesos de Barro batidos😢😢😢😢

I wish they would do better wound care afterwards.wash , antibiotic cream and a bandage . You can get stocking socks that can stop jiggers and they are cheap.

That poor man's feet are so thickly and deeply covered with jiggers that they would have to have at least three sessions just to get them off. His feet are also swollen and infected. If he could soak his feet in some salt water it would help a lot. God bless you🙏

The government is looking into an eradication program. If the fleas can be eradicated, and the populace educated, then jigger s could become a thing of the past. But it requires money.

Is there a way to get the government to pay for construction of multy room homes for the affected people. The government has to step up & help them. Charity can not do the job. Organizations with teeth have to step in & take care of the affected residents. The people have to step up & take care of their own...

Her poor feet are so swollen! Is there any way to get an ice pack or some ibuprofen for the inflammation? I have lymphedema and have experienced my feet being as swollen as hers. It's difficult to walk on them if her legs aren't wrapped properly for drainage, and then probably near impossible to get compression stockings for her lower legs after the compression wrappings are removed. She actually would need someone to help her get the stockings on, because they are super tight the first month of wear. She also needs to keep her feet elevated to help reduce the inflammation. Would any of that be possible? Besides looking like her feet are about to burst, they probably feel that way to her, too. Here's praying that more can be done for her legs and feet!
