What kind of presentations works better in the flowage lakes than traditional natural lakes? Recently fished a stretch below Castle Rock in the Dells and did horrible on plastics and leech. Marked a ton of fish, very little structure marked, a lot of mud and sand bottom, and newer tree branches, very steep rock cliff points. Trolled crank, and only caught a pike the whole day. Had to rely mostly on the wind blown ends. Lol @ 12:02, reminds me of my nieces when I take them out fishing.

Would you rather fish Petenwell or castle rock? I’m headed up that way and wondering what lake normally has more fish? Awesome videos man!

When the Zebra mussels filter feed the micro organisms that the fry need to survive you'll understand the problem better. Slot limits are no substitute for good recruitment of young of the year fish into the system.

+Larry Smith Outdoors I agree with you so much on a slot limit I'm from North Dakota and we have some awesome fisheries but if are biologist and game and fish would do a slot on some of them they would be world class

I never seen anybody get so excited over a 14 inch walleye, then call it a "good fish".

All day fishing and nothing to take home, this is what happens when a slot limit is failing a system. When man tries to play God instead of doing what God put us here to do.

Tiny fish from too big of a slot...the fish compete for forage and there isn't enough to grow passed 15 inches and by the time the fish grow through the 2nd slot they are 25 years old, some die of old age.

No mark is right, after next year that fish will be in the 2nd slot and it will be 15 years in that body of water before it can be kept again.

Most anglers love the slot. Fishing pressure and electronics have dramatically increased in the last years. There is NO reason to keep a mid 20's walleye from this water. None. Some people are concerned with leaving some for future generations and overall population health. Some are concerned with catching a fish for the wall, which this body of water is more than capable of. They see the big picture. You on the other hand worry about today, regardless of tomorrow seeing how much PCB's, pfaa's and mercury you can consume along the way. Great vision bud. Our waters are no longer capable of being your and everyone like you personal grocery store.
