Love the videos man. I’ve learned a bunch from watching. Bought a Spilt Milt sweatshirt I’ll be rocking out on the river. Caught my first steelhead couple weeks ago and now I can’t get enough. Keep up the good work brother.

Have you tried Lake Roosevelt fall/winter walleye? Thanks for the enjoyable and informative videos, and all the work that goes into making them.

I've not. Mostly summer. I'd like to give it a go in the next few weeks and combine it with a burbot chase.

My uncle is the reason i love UL fishing. He's a huge walleye guy, hoping to take my family to his neck of the woods this summer. Havent done walleye fishing for 15 years, way over due

Enjoyed the video, you caught some nice fish. I enjoy eating those walleye. I need to make a trip over pass to chase some of those fish. Tight lines!

Great Video, as always. I have a hole figured, but the wind is almost always a factor in my spot. One thing I think I've noticed, the Walleye don't seem to want anything on the hook besides a crawler. They don't want a smile blade, colorado blade or plastics. They seem to want just a worm. My uncle once said (South Dakota) of the gear in my tackle box, "All that stuff just get your minnow down to where the fish are." Starting to think he wasn't wrong.

That fourth fish was beautiful! Nice to see some more walleye content! Have you ever tried using bait and scents vs plain bait? Do you think using scent could extend the use of the worm after it gets soft, instead of switching worms.
@spiltmilt14 күн бұрын
I've tried scents and don't see much change in the bite. I've done extensive scent testing especially with hard baits and surprisingly the unscented hard baits tend to catch more as well.

@@spiltmilt oh boy. I thought they go shallow in the winter.
@spiltmilt12 күн бұрын
No they go deeper. They come shallow for the spawn in March-April and will hang out there for a bit post-spawn.

Stinger hook?

I use them a lot with plastics. With bait they usually aren't necessary.
