I really appreciate the time you spend showing the fish finder and what you are seeing there. Very helpful in formation indeed. Must be lovely being able to fish in Australia tho - just a bounty there compared to US fishing. Would love some info on the line you use as well.

The drone was above the "homepoint" (where it took off) and was landing there, your boat wasn't, obviously 🙂. You can cancel landing on your remote, fly the drone to you/the boat and land it.

Hey Mate, great video. What reel and line do you run on your PE3 jigging rod?

I have started to get more into jigging instead of bait fishing around the islands. I’ve started looking for fingers around the smiths, how do you choose your jig weight with how much run we get?
@bowlysfishing10 ай бұрын
It’s hard to say exactly. Typically use 40g - 100g in 20-45 metres

Hey mate, yet another cracking vid. Just wanted to ask what tips you have to avoid getting snagged when drifting with lures??
@Rigfish10 ай бұрын
swim down and feel all the structure so u can calculate ur drift and cast, u can also tie a transducer to ur arse and try to scan fish, i hope this helps
@bowlysfishing10 ай бұрын
Thanks Patrick. Fishing more vertically when you can, depending on the scenario (it may be better to cast out in front of the drift) or at least not have it dragging along the bottom will help. If it’s very snaggy, dropping it to the bottom and then winding it up a metre then starting to work it can be an option also 👍🏼

Hey Mr Bowly, may I suggest a smaller DJI drone like the Mini 3...I currently have a Mini SE and they are sensational, and much easier to deal with than a normal sized Mavic.. 👍
@kizzjd957810 ай бұрын
Set home point to dynamic rc and also start going home at 30% and land by 20%. The standard setting is to land around 20-30% which you can change but id advise not to.
@bowlysfishing10 ай бұрын
Yeah it was on 25% when it was the boat and just started dropping. Didn’t think home point would work since I’m moving around heaps on the boat.
