Just gonna write it here as well: The Finnish translation is very literal and therefore not 100% grammatically correct. I tried to highlight the similarities. Some words are related even tho it might not seem like it. It's interesting how Sami is a Finno-Urgic language, not Nordic, even though the geographic distribution of Sami languages is mainly over Norway & Sweden. This comparison to Finnish is super interesting! I'm so happy Disney's dub of Frozen 2 introduced everyone to this beautiful language ❤️ can't wait to see Show Yourself & ITU!

Actually Sami people used to live even in the southern parts of Finland before Finnic peoples arrived. There was another people living in the north but no one knows who they were and what kind of language they spoke. Only some old names are left. Basically Finnic and Sami peoples arrived to Finland at different times and it's not even certain how exactly. I once wrote an essay about it :D

It's funny how Northern Sami has the same N sound in spanish (Ñ) italian (GN) and in portugese (NH) I guess Hungarian also has this sound (NY) so it's not the only one Finno-Ugric language which has this sound

Actually those aren't the same sounds. ŋ is a voiced velar nasal also found in Finnish as "ng" (kangas, kengät) and sometimes "n" (kenkä, sänky). Ñ and the Hungarian ny are voiced palatal nasals (ɲ). The voiced velar nasal (ŋ) doesn't have any palatalisation.
