I think Jikook's relationship is probably an open secret. I once watched a documentary about a Korean feminist/LGBTQ supporter, and her office had a big “Cooky” doll. I never think a person's sexuality and his private life should be determined by others, but I'm sure there are many people outside of the K-army who secretly know something about jikook, especially Jungkook. Whether good or bad, jikook is protected by three walls. The wall of toxic shippers, the wall of fans who hide their true feelings of wanting to be their girlfriends and refuse to acknowledge their relationship, and the wall of society which does not allow the existence of people like them. Also, three veils of fanservice, cultural differences and language cover them and allow them to live in their own world. As long as they don't come out, their untold truth will continue to be defended. Jin and the other members are probably worried about military service, but this may actually have a positive effect on them. (Military service is a sensitive issue, and if they don't go, they will be clearly discriminated against in the future. I have friends who have served in the military, but one of them said that he just worked in the office because of health problems and that made him feel inferior.) In two years, most of the shippers will be crazy about shipping new handsome idols, and even girls who are actually in love with them will find their boyfriends around them. Toxic people may continue to go insane, but not many anymore. Only the true army, who truly love their music, art, and them will remain. Jikook, especially Jungkook, subtly and loudly tells us something. We should quietly accept it and continue to support them. And then when the time comes, we should, like them, courageously reach out to society💜
