I remember my initial Army days when I wasn't even aware of ships or ffs. I had stumbled upon my first Taekook video and being surprised, had asked a fellow Army (who happens to be my initiator in the fandom of BTS and whose words, regarding Bangtan, I usually take as Gospel truth) if they were real. She had rolled her eyes and said, "Nope. They are straight. Don't believe those videos. Armys are talented editors." I remember easily believing her. Then I had stumbled upon a Jikook video and I had repeated my question. My Army friend had rolled her eyes, scrunched her nose and given the same response - Jikook was not real and they were straight men. I remember frowning. I also remember being unable to believe her outright. I just couldn't and my own reaction had surprised me. Because, unlike a Taekook video, the vibe, the ambience, the chemistry in a Jikook video is 'cracking' and I could see that even with my month old knowledge of BTS back then. It's the absence of awkwardness, the absence of a shy and demure Bunny boi and a quietly scheming Mochi, the absence of those subtle, deliberate touches and the absence of a lover's bubble in the subsequent Taekook videos that were just too loud to miss. Thus began my Jikook journey and even today, I feel like I am still living that first day, discovering these two incredible men and feeling warmth in my heart... Thank you for these new memories :)

I've watched taecook videos and I have never seen anything that looks like what could be a romantic relationship. Jk barely looks at V and often declines his touch. Yet Jimin and Jungkook flirt all the time, they talk in that low voice that couples have, they touch each other frequently and they are together most of the time. I love watching their interactions and pray that they have a long and happy life together.
