To this day, seeing Her with this lineup in Bristol is the best gig I've been to. They nailed it so well that the crowd demanded another encore. Jill came out and said "we haven't got anymore songs prepared, but I've had this hook in my head all day" then started beat boxing the feel and the band picked it up. The band just jammed out the idea for about 20 minutes with her freestyling lyrics. Pure class

If you’re talking about Bristol, PA. I was there as well. I was on hold for Mr. Blackstone, the bass player. He was at another gig previously. Chris Dave, the drummer, sent me the tracks to learn just in case since I had played for Jill and with Chris before. He made it, but still got to go and was back stage

Some years back now but I still remember 1st hearing viewing this vid. I wanted to do this song with my band back in Florida. Through a long story I called Adam Blackstone (I'm an old acquaintance of Adam's Father who gave me Adam's phone number). BTW although Adam didn't know me personally, he took time from his busy schedule to speak with me.(Very humble dude, considering his huge reputation and catalogue) Anyway I'd called him for some pointers on being a good Music Director, and also I wanted to see if he had charts for the arrangement of Long Walk as they performed it on this vid. I'll never forget his answer to the latter question. He was like "Naw man,we didn't use charts we just, vibed it out" Such a cool answer although I did want the charts LOL.
