Lovely to spend a Sunday afternoon drawing and painting with you. I was so glad when you added that touch of red on the left! Really helped my eyes move through the painting and connect the shapes and colours. Happy to see your subscriber ship increasing. Best wishes from Portland Oregon, USA.

Brings me back to my interior design education. 3 years of interior / exterior design... I agree with not having too straight of lines it makes the "subject" more artistic and natural.It's almost more deliberate if you know what I mean. Perfectionism doesn't belong in artistic endeavours. Whether it is for your own personal growth and exercise or for a client, people like to see the designer/artist's spin on each drawing. I love architectural drawings.... you inspired me to start again. .. and I love love love doing water colour and seeing others do water colour too!

I absolutely love your work and have learned so much from you. If I were to slightly comment on this beautiful piece I would have liked you to have at least glazed over the store on the left. I found myself focusing on the blank white spot and away from the intended focal point. Every painting I have seen of yours has inspired me and I look forward to your next video

Still having some issue's creating the right colour mixes ... but getting there ... also somehow the "loose" sketch at my side seems a bit off .. don't know why. At the other hand, following and seeing how you do it allowed me to recreate this as well :-). Thanks a lot!!

I can understand why people ask a lot of questions regarding the ink. I asked in my local art store about water proof ink and Lama Safari pen. They told me it is impossible to use water proof ink in that pen. I don't know if you clean the pen after each session or how you make it work? Or is the ink you linked to in the description not clogging the pen?
@JilleeArts7 ай бұрын
I see, that’s understandable. I was lucky because back when I bought this pen, my local art store sold me the pen with the ink converter and suggested using Noodler’s ink(the ink I linked in description) because I said I was going to use watercolor over it. I basically never clean this Lamy Safari, I only use Noodler’s ink with it and it never gives me any clogging issues. Hope that helps!🤗
@kurtafplom29477 ай бұрын
@@JilleeArts Thanks! :) Drinking a cup of tea and watching you paint is my new Sunday routine.
@cazkiwinz43003 ай бұрын
Nah, you’re fine, you can use waterproof inks in your Lamy’s. I heard the same thing and did research for 3 months being scared of using it in mine before just deciding to do it anyways as they’re cheap enough to replace if it didn’t work…. And I’ve had only Platinum Carbon in my Lamy’s for the last 2 years (left in there, stored horizontal) and no clogging. I just make sure I give them a few lines every few weeks (I barely use them, I’m not a prolific drawer at all, lol)… and I’ve only cleaned them twice … well, emptied and refilled not full clean) and they’re still perfect. If you’re really worried, just buy some cheaper pens (I like Schneider Easys) and use it in those if you don’t trust it, but most artists use waterproof in Lamy’s now, they’re cheap enough to replace and no need to be scared about it … it was kind of like a rumour that people passed around without trying but it’s not true! I mean, I wouldn’t use shellacs if you don’t use them for a long time, but otherwise, just do it! It’s just a pen!

Hello from South Africa. Thank you so much from a 63 year old beginner 😂. I recently came upon your channel and I have watched almost all your videos which I find very inspirational. In this piece I love the way you managed to capture all the details in the window of the shop and ended up with a beautiful window. I just love the way the colours blended. I do find the idea of using a fountain pen a bit daunting. Can you recommend a waterproof pen which one can use instead? Once again, thank you for inspiring me 😊

I love your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your art and your process. Can you please recommend a good eraser to use for erasing pencil marks?
@outofmymindart4 ай бұрын
I like to use a kneadable eraser. You can use them like a conventional eraser, but they have a second use. Instead of “rubbing” out things, you can use it to dab at your pencil lines. This allows you to pick up excess graphite and lighten up your lines. It’s handy if you like to watercolour over your pencil lines as you want them to be as light as possible

Are the fountain pens’ ink water resistant?
@fotodudenz7 ай бұрын
You can put waterproof ink a fountain pen.
@JilleeArts7 ай бұрын
Yes, you can change the fountain pen ink to any ink designed for fountain pens as long as you have a converter. I use Noodler’s ink which is water resistant on cellulose paper but from my experience, it works well on 100% cotton too(eg Arches)
@JilleeArts7 ай бұрын
Usually the fountain pen won’t come directly with water resistant ink, so you will need to buy that separately
