I don't know why wiv makers still make them with those metal bra straps. That metal is so uncomfortable. I would think it's cheaper too, in terms of materials! Both Hairuwear (Raquel Welch) and Jon Renau have wig aerosol spray. They don't hold as firm as spray for human hair, but they work well.

Hi Cynthia! Yes, that is why they do it....I don't care for it and feel the effect can still be natural weaving in some other darker shades that are in the piece. Jon Renau does the opposite, and I wish he would weave some of the lighter shades into his hairline. We are never satisified! haha!

I've watched your reviews for some time now, and I finally got brave enough to start the wig journey. I started with two Toni Brattin wigs. I quickly realized the blonde shades looked best .I did not like the gold tones. I think I'm ready for a Jon Reneau lace front now. I can't decide on the color yet because I always forget the colors . My complexion is very similar to yours, so it has definitely been beneficial watching all your tips about the wigs and the skin. Hi Denise. I find that some salon stylists are very good at detecting wigs since they are in the business of “hair”. The same thing happened to me, but I had let my wig get a bit too ratty at the back so she detected it. Don’t give up on wigs. The key thing for me was to find the right color and right density (not too pouffy) and then even my friends couldn’t tell the difference!! Take care!😊

Jill, Patti knew you and picked a perfect color and style -- it's gorgeous. I love Raquel Welch and have quite a few, although I have dozens of Jon Renau wigs and they are my favorites. I love this, though and am tempted to try it and in this color. I have two Kristens in Palm and Venice blondes, so I might be able to pull this off. I use Beautimark's Contour Creme instead of hairspray, to tame flyaways and hold hair up and away from my face. This color is stunning and unique. I don't care for the light band at the hairline, but you are right, it isn't obvious on this wig. Love this. xoxo

Love your videos. I am new to wigs. I have 2 right now, one of which I gave to my daughter because it’s too short and the other too long so trying to get brave and cut it but still watching videos. As of right now, I have 5 coming in the mail. Three from e-wigs and two from Paula Young’s website which I accidentally ended up on today. I can’t afford $200 or more on a wig right now so hopefully I won’t be real disappointed with what I end up with. One I ordered from Paula Young is a Jacqi Smith and one is a Paula Young “Versifiber” which is heat tolerant. Keep your fingers crossed 😂. Knew you have been checking out some of the less expensive designers. Read one review(with pic) that she said she had worn that style of wig for 25 years. Didn’t order that one but may later. I have to wear at least shoulder length because of some swollen lymph glands on my neck that I try my best to hide. Wish I could wear the necklines 😞 but can’t. OK gonna quit rambling for now. That color.....perfect for you. I think it's more your color than even Shaded Biscuit. Question. It's been 20 years since I have ordered a Raquel Welch wig. Bad experience...the wig literally fell apart in just a matter of a couple of months. How do you think they hold up overall in comparison to other brands? Also, I'm not a fan of heat friendly. My Jon Renau heat friendly...just in a couple of washings....clumped up and I ended up throwing the wig away. How do you think her heat friendly compares to Jon Renau's fibers?

Definitely sort of an edgier version Straight Up With a Twist, Jill. I have nice perspective of this color in your lighting here. Like it! SS Cappuccino is my fav RW color so I do think I'd like this one just fine. I am on the other side of the fence on the HF fibers , for the most part. I think they look sort of like dirty hair and they tend to look stiffer around the bottom on straight styles, they don't "flow" like regular synthetics. They may work better on wavy styles, but I don't have any of those, only two SUWAT pieces in 12/22SS. I don't completely avoid them, but I actually prefer regular synthetics, though I do not wear light blondes which are pretty much always a tad more shiny than is natural. TressAllure and Henry Margu's Mane Attraction lines have very natural looking synthetics. Real Deal is a cute style on Taz and on Marlene and now, on you!

Jill, I want to get this wig when I save up money. I have olive complexion, but I have Lupus and can't be in the sun, yet I am still cautious with blondes. I only buy RW wigs. I have Winner in R11S- Glazed Mocha which is my bio hair with highlights as I am light brown what little I have left.😢 Can you tell me what blondes to avoid? If you truly have an olive complexion I would gravitate toward the warmer shades. You may want to stay away from shades like Shaded Biscuit in RW, and Palm Springs Blonde in JR, Butterbeer Blonde & Rootbeer Blonde Float (I think it's called?) in Belle Tress etc... The ashy'er' shades you may want to move a way from. It really all depends though....and since I don't know you, and have never seen you (haha) I have truly no idea. ;)

Hi Judy, yes...it does. Fly-a-ways are something you have to deal with being a wig wearer...but, without hairspray I would go legitimately nuts I think! It won't hold all day, but does help without a doubt!

Regarding keeping the hair itself from falling forward it does....and depending upon how badly it wants to do that steam may be used, but I find using product and time...helps really nicely. Dry shampoo sometimes has to be used as a styling aid, because it help the hairspray 'stick' to the fibers better, and does change the texture from super soft and slippery to a little gritty (lack of a better word) so it 'stays'. ;)

Great job and beautiful color! Wondering if the hair spray makes the fibers dirty such that you need to wash it frequently? And if so, does that matter? Does washing break down the fibers faster? ALSO, how do you like this color compared to the Shaded Cappuccino? Is this one lighter? Thanks!
