First off...Jill let me thank you for being such an excellent teacher...I am so grateful for all you have shared...this video is my most cherished of all your videos...It would be so awesome for you to do like a simple Tip Tuesday! I would also love one of those live demonstrations of tips....This video was soooo helpful...Please let me know if you decide to add more tips/techniques/ problem solving/ etc. videos...I am a huge fan...I actually am just starting the actual weaving...I have been studying for months though while I work on strengthening my skills in other crafts (crocheting and quilting are my favorites)...but I know that I love beading too...and now moreso since I found your playlist for stitches and this video on tips and techniques...Wishing you all the very best, and sending many thanks, E.

G'Day Jill, Ever thought of touring the Great Land Down Under.....in particular the City of Melbourne !!!!! I love it when we get together in my lounge room and bead but it would be nicer to meet you in person and enjoy a coffee and a little wicked cake or two and talk to our hearts content. Living in the US of A with so many bead stores and to obtain beads so cheaply and the availability of so many big beads shows and the chance of meeting not only yourself but other instructors or visiting their shops e.t.c would be out of this world! Thank you for this great video and I will indeed try it out. Have a great Day....

Great idea Jill, I think this would be very good for some of the internal ropes in your beaded rope book !

I don't know if others have figured this out already, but when doing Tubular Herringbone, I don't start with the standard "Ladder" start. If, for instance, I am doing 6 beads around which is 3 sets, start by putting on 3-beads and going forward through the first bead again. then out 2-beads between each of those beads. This has now put you into the "Herringbone" pattern without having that Ladder Stitch strip at each end. At the end, just put om1-bead at the top of each 2-bead set and sew around through just those 3-beads to end your piece. Marilyn Peters, Vallejo, Ca.

G'Day Jill, I was reading a comment from "Tall Oaks" (near the bottom of page) and she was referring to why you haven't made a beading design for your beads back ground design and you replied needed time to do it ...... you have already designed a project using that design..... your "River of Pearls Necklace" (I think that's what you called it). You can clearly see the use of the wall pattern in that piece. So don't worry Jill you don't need to find the time and Tall Oaks watch the video and you can create it..... I did and it's gorgeous.

When making a rope, I use this faster method on the ends, but the part that is seen in the front I go one bead at a time. It works great!

Loved it! And I love how you look. Now I wonder if it works with Twisted Tubular Herringbone... I really love spirals.

Another great idea would be to always highlight, describe, and link a video to jewelry pieces you are wearing...so many you tubers forget to do that....and I would just love to hear about your inspiration for patterns and the jewelry you are sporting on the videos...I hope it was okay to give this tip...and I hope you'll do it for your fans! Many Blessings, E.

Hi, She normally uses Fireline. There's 2 colours- Smoke & Crystal. 6lb is a very common weight/thickness to use for most projects. It's made by Berkley & I think The Beadsmith. I've actually just bought some for a very good price from Jill's website! (The UK p&p cost was excellent too!) I do hope that helps, Claire 😄 Quick Tip- When threading first flatten it with your nail or pliers. It makes it a lot easier! 'Happy Beading!' as Jill says! 🤗
