Depends which American bands? Bands like Misery Signals and Converge may not sound strictly like Jiluka but they damn near perfected the art of knowing when to add breakdowns for maximum impact so when they dropped, they hit like a punch in the gut.

Jiluka is the one of a few underrated v-kei that from the first i know them in 2013 and until now, they still had same members and still intact. Because some other v-kei i know they are either disbanded or changed their member. Rock on Jiluka 🤟

@@Solkian66619 "Dir En Grey is far away from the Visual Kei scene", read that again, Visual Kei isn't a genre, it's an image, and Dir En Grey helped popularise it, to this day they still use the image, even if it is a much more laid back version, also, VK has different styles so to say, bands like Deviloof uses a very gory image while Jiluka sticks to something more gothic in nature, Dexcore has a slightly futuristic image and so on. Do yourself a favour and actually study VK.

This is all kinds of good and all kinds of stylish. Exactly what I expect from a vkei band. I like the breakdown (but I wish it were extended), and I love how every instrument, including the vocals, is abundant throughout the entire song. JILUKA is consistently awesome, and, yet, still manages to improve.

Oh, and I love following along with the English lyrics. I must give my compliments to the band for managing to make music so good while also singing in English so much because there are quite a few other bands who start to sound too western and boring when using English, but this maintains its creative and melodic Japanese sound.

You always surprise and never disappoint. This is too good, such a step up. I am absolutely in love with the chorus and the classic instrumentals in the back.
