Uh, idk much about religion but I'm pretty sure Mormonism doesn't teach that having extramarital (and homosexual) relations with the same person molesting your kid is a good thing. Their religion didn't make these people go from sane to selfish and retarded, they just were. There's absolutely no excuse for it, or explanation for it, other than they were so sexually frustrated (from their own choices) that they just chose to look the other way so they could justify their lust for B to themselves. I think they could have been any religion, or atheist, and nothing would have changed.

Mormonism especially teaches those things. They believe in multiple wives who will live alone on multiple planets in death. They most certainly don't have a problem with child marriage and subservient wives, as Mexico is where they all used to go specifically to wed children, or multiple children, if they wanted - cuz polygamy and child fucking was and still is illegal here. For fuck's sake, they believe in magical underwear and a prophet who claimed to read all their latter-day bullshit from magic rocks out of a hat and changed his story when the papers were purposely hidden. These are people who are so up their own ass with their religion they are notoriously naive, Pollyanna types who live in their own world. When I heard they were Mormon, it actually made perfect sense they thought nothing of this guy's real intentions and then signed off on prosecuting him IF their daughter was found. There are retarded people out there, and there are people who aren't retarded, but make you wonder because they're conditioned and/or brainwashed into thinking and acting like retards. Religion tends to do this to people, no question. This is a prime example.
