Dillon"s Cut would be the newer Single Barrel that's 108 proof. The old Single Barrel was 95 proof, but honestly they both don't measure up to what the Distiller's Cut offers. Good to see the Butcher...love these Drinkthroughs!

Distiller's Cut was a 1 and done from few years ago. It was called poor man's Booker's and very good for a less than $20 bottle

Hell yeah...The Butcher in the house! Dillon I almost always agree with you. I always understand where you're coming from. Double Oak is so over oaked. I can't drink anything from Beam anymore. With Bardstown and Smoke Wagon and many other new selections available life is too short to drink bad whiskey.

I believe the Jim Beam black extra aged used to be called double aged with an 8 year age statement. That was one of the first whiskeys I reviewed lol Cheers guys. Awesome video!

Wish you had the BIB and the new SiB, which are my two favorites on their own. But Black, even no longer age stated, is probably the best overall if you can only pick one and is ideal for mixing into Dr. Pepper as well. Double Oaked has the best label, especially with the updated bottle design, but I had an unpleasant first experience with it and will have to go back to see why because I too have not opened that bottle in well over a year...can't believe I'm on the same page as Dillon! As for those flavored versions...Red Stag is nothing more than a shooter during game nights up at our cottage lol.

The Black Label used to be 8 years old, then 6 years and now is just extra aged. I can still see a lot of the miniatures with the 8y age statement here in Europe.

I think the Black label used to be labeled "Double Aged" and was 8 years old. Distiller's Cut finally disappeared from KY recently and I haven't seen it in Ohio for at least a couple of years. JB Single Barrel is 108 proof but I've never tried it.
