Jim Carroll, 1974, reads two poems at San Francisco State -The Poetry Center

Jim Carroll, during the spell when he was briefly resident in Bolinas, north of San Francisco, reads two poems: "Some Fears," then, deciding the next poem is unfinished, moving to "Andy's Daughters," on October 10, 1974. Carroll shares the bill with Anne Waldman and Bill Berkson, for what was effectively an all-Bolinas program, at The Poetry Center, San Francisco State University. Introductions are by Poetry Center director Lewis MacAdams.

He's more than likely high on speed. He's my favorite writer... Around this time, he went to CA to try to quit dope, and he used a lot of speed at first. Finally, he went to a methadone clinic. I can't say for sure, but everything I know about him (which is a lot) he's probably high.
