This should've been included in the movie. This shows that coaches forget about the other life they have: FAMILY. I can feel Jim Caviezel's pain in this scene because my late Pops was the same way: he was more concerned about being in the streets more than providing for his family

I love this movie, my question is simple; Why did you remove this scene from the film, it shows the distress of a son faced with a father who has turned away from his role of Papa when his son needed him so much,... and more?

Amazing that Jim Caviezel did two sports films (this and Blue Chips) that were before their time

Where was he in Blue Chips?

@@theman1412I don’t think he spoke in the movie but he was one of the players for Nick Nolte’s team

I don’t remember Jim in this movie. Was this his one scene and they all of them out? Wow. They should’ve been left in.

Its an interesting and well acted scene.. as many scenes that get cut are. It adds more detail to Tony's failure in his personal life. But it is entirely unnecessary. It doesn't advance the story and it would've killed the pacing of the movie. Just from the short scene where Tony is alone, you see the picture of his ex wife and kids, and he's leaving a drunk voicemail to her... you know what happened to Tony's marriage and family. Football was his whole life. He neglected everything else.

Who wrote the part of the waitress, Totally ruined the scene, who talks like that?

LA, man. Every waitress is an aspiring, overacting actress.

Wonder if this wasn't about a certain guy who used to coach the Cowboys, you know, he won a couple of Super Bowls in the 90's?
@joeyp8758 Жыл бұрын
I think he’s Mike Shanahan, the team is the combination of the late 90’s 49ers, Broncos. Shanahan Young and Shanahan Elway. Apparently Aikman made an appearance so sprinkle a little Dallas.
