Jim Caviezel Gives Powerful Response Regarding Abortion During 'Sound of Freedom' Interview

Catholic audiences know actor Jim Caviezel for his iconic performances in movies such as “The Passion of the Christ” and “The Count of Monte Cristo.” His latest film, “Sound of Freedom,” which will be released by Angel Studios in theaters nationwide on July 4, is, in his view, among his best work.
“God’s children are no longer for sale,” is a powerful line in the film, and Caveziel told CNA why he believes children are under attack, not just through child trafficking, as seen in the movie, but also through abortion. (According to the Guttmacher Institute, almost 1 million abortions took place in the United States in 2020.)
“The most vulnerable are under attack for one reason - children are the most innocent of humans,” Caviezel said.
“It wounds God to the deepest core to kill those unborn babies, but now they kill them when they’re born, don’t they?”
He continued: “That’s where Jesus is going to have a deep conversation with all of us when we die, and I don’t want to be a part of that. I want to tell him that I love him. That’s what I want to say. And that I tried to live the life that it was supposed to be, that I give my life for him. Because he deserves to be loved.”

When my dad collapsed, I found/made a way to get to him and remain by his side at hospice while he died. Day in, day out I arose at three am, made notes for my calculus classes, sent the notes to the students and substitute, then went to the hospice. From seven am to five pm I was at hospice, then eat, try to rest some and go to bed. The day he died, and the day before, I prayed the Rosary for his soul, and on the day he passed I stayed by his side almost the entire time. When it was time, I sent my niece to get my brothers (my “sister” could not handle it). I swear that right before he left us he gently. Squeezed my hand. I pray for his soul, may God’s perpetual light shine upon him. Now I pray the rosary for him and mother and more importantly all those who have passed away and have no one to pray for them. I hope someday there is someone to pray for me.

Hi Steve, I’m sure someone will always be praying for you ( we’ll add you to our prayers). My dad wound up in a nursing facility(3 actually) back in 2017 ( I wasn’t able to bring him home which is what he wanted most. Long story as to why.) and for 13 long months ( what seemed like years) we prayed ( he wasn’t able to talk he had a trachea he wasn’t able to write even though he tried because his Parkinson’s got a bit worse) everyday we prayed for four things. 1: To give thanks to God for everything that he had ever done for my father but most especially for the things that dad wasn’t even aware of that God had done for him. 2: To ask for forgiveness for all he had done wrong that he shouldn’t have done and things that he should’ve done that he didn’t do. Also for him to picture anyone whom he might have hurt in anyway knowingly or unknowingly ( mom, father,siblings m, friends etc) and one at a time ask their forgiveness for having done so and for God to hear those prayers. 3: For him to picture anyone ( one at a time)who ever hurt him whether purposely or unknowingly and for him to forgive each and everyone of them. 4: For my father to offer his suffering ( what we as Catholics call offer it up)to our Lord and for our Heavenly Father to put those suffering prayers to help those who needed it the most. At times we would dedicate those prayers ourselves maybe for mothers who were contemplating having an abortion, anyone contemplating suicide, a stop to pedophilia( funny how auto correct will spell every word for me before I finish typing it but it didn’t with pedophilia. NOT!), for conversion of sinners, for us to be better human beings , for peace in our hearts peace in the world the kind of peace that our lord gives etc. I know in my heart that a whole lot of good came out from those prayers with Pops ( It’s sad to see that so much suffering goes to waste instead of it being put to good use to help so many in need). Steve thanks for sharing your story with us. May God be with you and shower you and your loved ones with his blessings. There will always be someone praying for us we might not know who but there is remember that always and whenever your time is near I pray that you feel our lord’s presence and love as he welcomes you home.

I'm going to watch Jim Caviezel in 'The Sound of Freedom' tomorrow on July 4th and I know that I will be bawling my eyes out! He is a VERY passionate actor that has strong Christian values and I encourage ALL true Patriots to watch this movie so we can unilaterally tell Hollywood that THIS is the kind of movies we need more of! There is so much evil in our country today and we have got to stand up and be ready to fight for the lives of our unborn and born children! It's a sacrifice that was made (which is what the movie is about) and we must continue to fight to the death for our children. God bless you Jim and keep pressing forward in your fight against evil! We saw Jim in Epcot, Disney World for the Christmas candlelight procession and you could actually feel the emotions he was feeling. God’s presence was felt there the entire evening. It was my favorite procession. We met Jim afterwards and he greeted everyone with love and compassion. God’s love in the flesh. So thankful that he is going against the Hollyweird Tide and being used by our Lord. ❤❤❤❤

To all my Christian brothers let us all be prayerful, vigilant, and always ready to defend our faith whatever it takes. As a Catholic I treasure life from conception to actively end of life only God has the right to take it. Its not ours to decide when to end life. Few friends and relatives had asked my advice whether to abort an embryo or an infant in their womb and I talked them out of it. @@elenag2965 All Christians believe in the Holy Trinity but please show me any scripture that says we are to pray to anyone except to God or Jesus. We are not supposed to bow down to graven images at all, and that is in the ten commandments. I disagree that Mary was "the mother of Jesus" also because her DNA was not in Jesus. Of course, she mothered the child but, she was impregnated by God so she was a surrogate, a vessel. I've never seen one scripture that tells us we are to worship Mary. She was an ordinary human being as was her husband Joseph, but God obviously favored her, because he knew her heart and everything about her. Jesus called her "woman" and there's nothing wrong with that, but He did not refer to her as his mother. John 2:1-12 is the only text in the canonical gospels in which the adult Jesus has a conversation with Mary. He does not address her as "Mother" but as "Woman". In Koine Greek (the language that the Gospel of John was composed in) so calling one's mother (that raised you since birth) "Woman" was not disrespectful, and could even be tender. God wanted her to be the mother of his son according to his humanity. She does NOT form in her womb his divine nature though.

Thank you Jim. Men and women who aborted their own children suffer from depression, anxiety, and many times abuse drugs and alcohol due to their lifelong guilt, sin and loss. They've also opened portals to the demonic. Many are triggered whenever they see a child of the same age as their aborted child . Some take their secret to their grave, never telling their other children or spouse about the aborted family member. I received several words from the Lord. One said "the sin lies with the parents, all babies aborted are in heaven". Another said " The children are mine saith the Lord! MY little ones were made in MY image! No one is to take life as they please when MY PURPOSE was cast upon their lives! Such people will know that I AM the ultimate King, The Creator! I giveth life and I taketh it away. Man does NOT have this power! Repent! Repent! For the sins of many are great! My hand will show all of the world WHO I AM."

Never felt like I had a brother in the faith from someone who was so distant from my walk of life before. I've always believed my faith and the Catholic faith were so different, but the lines are blurred, nigh non existent, when true love and truth are supreme.. maybe we're not so different after all. You'll be surprised the more you study. Non-denominational Is in fact a protestant denomination as these christians follow solar scriptura (a protestant doctrine, which was only taught by man). Catholics follow the oral tradition that proceeds scripture and scriptural tradition given to mankind by God alone. I can go on to prove that Simon (Peter) was the first pope.
