I dont mind the mask to much but like when I am at physical therapy ( had surgery a while back) it's hard to do a couple miles on a bike with a mask on. And I work in retail are backroom doesn't have air conditioning so it gets hot back there. And unloading the truck it's like 110 in that truck and having to throw freight. With the mask you can't catch your breath. Or loading customers cars with bags of feed.

Alot of it comes down to leadership ... here in Canada our leaders whether you agree whatever side of the aisle they're on did a great job. They propped up both individuals and businesses and at every level federal provincial and municipal created trust in the public. The real problem is the US never really closed. I think they closed for like a day or a weekend and then it was full steam ahead. They might have to bite the bullet and actually close for a month or two like we did here in Canada. We didn't really close but I would say a good 80% of actually quarantined for about two to two and a half months .

I hope it doesn't come to it but you guys legit might have to go into sub lockdown like Italy did or we did. Most individuals have no clue how hospitals work. If a new illness appears anyone with the symptoms are considered ill with that illness as a better safe than sorry policy. Reason for that the earliest tests have a high false negative count. Now think of it if you were the village chief who saw a new illness in your village you just gonna act like nothing is wrong and complain that you don't want to make anyone uncomfortable? Next thing you know you're Ishii last of his tribe.

The reason you don't have to wear a mask, and even have a choice right now Einstein is because lots of us in the other provinces put in the necessary work and followed all the public health protocols including wearing masks.. I'm here in Toronto Ont where masks are mandatory on the TTC and will be mandatory in inside public places till September 30. This is to ensure that we as a high risk area with 7 mil people don't spread it to your backwood hinterland . I would say you're welcome but I'm not sure you're smart enough to appreciate the effort that went in to making sure we didn't end up like the US or the correlation therein.

I don't understand all the rage against the anti-maskers (no, I'm not one of them). Okay, I get it when they act like jerks, but I've seen some very quiet and careful people distancing themselves when going into a store, not talking or opening their mouths etc, essentially get attacked by others. It's like the days of the lepers have returned. Even if everyone is wearing a mask, you have no idea what other appropriate hygiene (like hand-washing) they are or aren't doing. Sure masks reduce risk, but they do not eliminate it. If I saw someone not wearing a mask, I would not be happy but I wouldn't bother to stress over it...just walk away and move on. But that's just me.

How about clothing? Shouldn't it be my freedom to not wear clothing and your freedom to wear it if you want? Are you also ok with people smoking cigarettes in public places? There should be a choice if you wearing the mask was for your own safety, but it's not! Wearing a mask is to help prevent you from spreading a virus to others. That's why I brought up smoking! There's a reason it's banned in most public places, because it's not about you, it's about others! The mask isn't about you, it's about others. If you and I are together on public and I'm not wearing a mask and you are, I'm the one benefiting from the mask, not you. If you cough into your mask, your mask is a barrier... but if I cough my saliva and germs are going everywhere and maybe on you, in your eyes etc etc. Hope this clears up the misunderstanding a lot of people have about why the mask is needed in public and shouldn't be choice in most public areas, just like smoking or wearing clothing. :) (The clothing part is more tongue and cheek, but it gets the point across)

Actually hand sanitzer and hand washing is a much more effective option. I was like you ..I thought the gloves were a better idea to till about mid April. Then someone explained the gloves can be doing more harm than good. Google search the idea of cross contamination. I was guilty of this as well. Basically even though you are being well meaning you when we wear gloves we transport the germs or bacteria and could be taking it or spreading it from one area to another. Check out this interview . That 100 nanometer size youre quoting, thats referring to the virus by itself.....thats not how covid is transmitted, though. In reality covid is in saliva particles that you cough or breath out....those saliva particles fall within the range of 1 to 500 microns.....thus masks have a filtering effect. Ofcourse the quality of the mask will change the range of particle sizes it blocks
