Jim Creek HUGE Radio Antenna

Scott Yates, N4BBB, tells us about his once-in-a-lifetime tour of the fascinating facility at the Jim Creek Naval Air Station in Washington State where this unusual antenna resides. This is interesting for all, especially for those of us who believe that the bigger the antenna, the better!

Thank you, Scott. I've lived by there (Tulalip Indian Reservation) for the last twenty years. When driving east on Marine Dr one can see the blinking FAA lights of the towers. It took me a while to realize what I was looking at since we don't have any windfarms nearby.
