The NHS is not underfunded it's fucking over managed, only 35% of all funds get to patient care and all the rest goes to the suit and tie brigade.

My son employs 8 people and he suggested that his company would pay a private medical insurance for each employee but it turned out that the employees would have an extra tax put on them as HMRC say this is a benefit for them even though the employees would not need to use the NHS if they were unwell so taking some pressure off the NHS waiting lists

Having had a life saving operation and excellent pre and post op care, which would have financially ruined many Americans if they had to pay for it in the US, I have nothing but praise for our NHS. Our National Health Service would be fine but our INTER-National Health Service, to which you refer, that provides free healthcare to anyone who rocks up on our shores and who have paid very little if anything towards it's upkeep, is at bursting point. Blame the politicians who have allowed uncontrolled immigration to swamp us but not our beloved NHS which is struggling to cope as a consequence of our politicians' failures.

Jim, I remember being in Doncaster Hospital recovering from injuries received on duty. This particular morning I was sat up in my hospital bed in a 4 bed ward. 3 cracking old boys in the other beds. Group of doctors came round doing their thing. They stood at the end of the bed of the old boy next to me and said So Mr ……. What are you in for?? The old boy looked at me looked back to the doctors and whipped his blankets off and said Well you tell me doctor because you’ve chopped my left leg off. Wait for it wait for it…. Here is the response from the doctors Oh yes I remember now 😮😮😮😮 WTF is wrong with the NHS. That was in 97

I was in a hospital in Slough. Won't say the name, but think those that live in this area will know. No toilet paper in the public toilets. No paper towels to dry your hands after washing them. Had to get some from another toilet . I couldn't use that toilet as it smelled so bad I nearly threw up. When I spoke to someone, they weren't interested. Not to mention the security doors that no one opens when you press the entry button.

I had to wait 53 weeks to have a camera up my nose to confirm I've got polyps which I already knew because my doctor said. Now I've got to try nose drops for 3 months and if they don't work which they don't will have to go back on a 60 week waiting list to have them removed.

Needed emergency dental treatment this week. Originally got referred end of May. Rang the hospital for an update as I was now inpain and was told the waiting list is now another 10 months........went private to the tune of £260 but better than toothache......thats 14 months.....utterly ridiculous. The system is broken. Do i get a rebate on my taxes? No theyll keep gladly taking that off me.....pity i cant make the HMRC wait 14 months for my taxes......its those less fortunate than just cant afford private so suffer the pain. After coughing up I was seen treated and pain free in 24hrs of ringing them up. Now we have the Labour 10 year plan...... who remembers John Prescotts 10 year transport plan that died a death.....

It was always going to fail. the reason is WAGES. The wonderful NHS made a fantastic contract for all the staff which has crippled the service. Agender for Change gave people 6 months sick pay each year which has been abused by all staff, but mainly the facility staff from overseas. Not 1 person who has insight into the financials can say I am wrong.

A year for a dental appointment???? Disgraceful. My autistic granddaughter has been trying to get two rotten teeth taken out since January 2024. She has some serious learning difficulties and is terrified of dentists so she has to be treated under a general anaesthetic. She has been referred by her NHS dentist six times since January and is still trying to get on a list! We live in Golborne, halfway between Wigan and Warrington, and she has been refused by Warrington, Wigan and St Helens as well as the Liverpool Dental Hospital, where they treat patients from all across the UK. The worst part of this is that it’s a common occurrence for the disabled, irrespective of age or anything else. Bloody disgusting

I would go private, too, if I could. Everyone that goes private frees up an NHS appointment.

When Tony Blair open the floodgates and millions of people coming into this country and governments do not actually work and think about how things are gonna happen you expect weightless because nothing is grown at the same rate of the amount of people who have come to the country . We have a 80s NHS where was 60 million people but it’s 40 years later I never got 70 million people. And it’s getting bigger every day.

@gw20786 күн бұрын
The dental issue you mention is not urgent, hence the delay. There are more important medical problems that need to be sorted out that take precedence over "railing" teeth as you call them. If someone had chronic toothache and/or a decaying infected tooth then the NHS dental service would remove the tooth. This doesn't sound the case here so why don't you pay privately for your partner's son's cosmetic dental problem? I assume you can afford it. Just to get this into context, there are children and babies who need heart transplants, liver transplants, neuro surgery and all sorts of other complicated procedures. They are the ones that are suffering and need urgent care, not your partner's son.
