When we were young punkers in the mid/late '70s,the black Jim Dunlop was the go to 'cause the plastic fender picks literally fell apart in our fingers we were strumming so hard. Downstrokes only of course

Didn't like the celluloid. The other two are solid. Strumming takes some getting used to with that sort if material.... When picks don't sound quite right I've found that polishing them with really fine sandpaper can help like folding it in half and sticking the pick right on the edge where you're folding it.... Like 3000 grit ... Though you can get your finger. It definitely improves nylons... Islands can give you really really smooth strum uncertain songs but you have to polish them. They're not very meaty

Thanks for the tip. I had to bevel the edge of the Fender tortuga pick to get it to feel right for me
