This channel is fascinating. As somebody who has studied the history of Jim Jones and Peoples Temple, I certainly appreciate all the effort you've made in putting these recordings together for us all to listen to and hopefully learn from, so that nothing like this may happen again. Sadly we still very much have cults in many forms, and Jones like figures are alive and well even as Jones is long gone. Ironically the George Santayana quote that hung above Jones's throne in the pavilion is so true, those who do not learn from history are, indeed, condemned to repeat it!

In case this bastard ever comes back from the dead and starts endlessly and tirelessly droning again. Imagine if he had the technology of today and not just a microphone, some Ampax cassette tapes, Guyanese newspapers and his own imagination. I find that annoying feedback from the female radio operator on the opposite side of the tape more honest and informative.
