I love how he can take pauses in between words and not be interrupted. I've never heard an interview with anyone else where the person being interviewed didn't get interrupted, even mid sentence.

Garrett Lewis Good point. Attention spans are just too short nowadays. And actual, true listening to another person (instead of thinking only about what you want to say next) is such a rarity. I tend to speak slowly, too, because I want to get the words right. By nature, I express myself best through writing & I really 'dig' poetry, so yeah, I totally get Jim's way of talking.

Although I as of recent know that was MK groomed he still was fascinating and drew you in. He knew how to play opposite with what the interviewer expected, in respect to a response. He finessed the aspect of curbing the tongue and turn it into to wit! They expect him to be aggressive and boisterous and he comes off as a loving poet and philosopher. I grown to appreciate Jim and feel sorry for the fact that he was be used as a social experiment. he had some loving child-like virtues. And don't ever undermind his talent. he never was ashamed to say he never played an instrument. His voice was his instrument!

Jim Morrison has the coolest and best voice of all English/American mother-tongue speakers I`ve ever heard! I owe a lot to this man - this poet, philosopher, film scientist, singer and rock superstar (likewise to Bruce Lee, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Hermann Hesse, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti and some other artists and philosophers)! Excerpt from "AN AMERICAN PRAYER" ("Ein amerikanisches Gebet") by JIM MORRISON: O GREAT CREATOR OF BEING, GRANT US ONE MORE HOUR TO PERFORM OUR ART AND PERFECT OUR LIVES. [Oh, großer Schöpfer des Seins, Gewähre uns eine weitere Stunde, Um unsere Kunst auszuführen Und unsere Leben zu vervollkommnen.] (A literal German-language translation) Greetings from Germany to all Jim Morrison/The Doors fans Michael Hontheim

Its such a clear example of his genius.

Actually, Morrison misspoke there. He should have probably said, "transgressed" instead of "trespass". The word he used is close, but doesn't quite fit the context of the meaning of that sentence that he intended it to mean. I'm almost sure that he intended to say 'transgress'. Also, similar to his frequent use of the word 'irregardless', which technically isn't really even a word.
