I adore Jim and the Doors. I'm not sure this is his most riveting poem, but the music carries his voice beautifully. The Police said it best..."We are Spirits in the material World". Jim was certainly the wild child who he graced us with holding the door open for us to peek inside. He was a special man with a unique gift.

Why does my mind circle around you Why do planets wonder what it Would be like to be you? All your soft wild promises were words Birds, endlessly in flight Your dog is still lost in the frozen woods or he would run to you How can he run to you lunging w/blooded sickness on the snow? He's still sniffing gates & searching Strangers for your smell which he remembers very well Is there a moon in your window? Is madness laughing? Can you still run down beach rocks bed below w/out him?

I have to hear this every couple weeks to remind me , because I don't recognize America anymore, and 'something wicked this way comes' and no one seems aware, they seem to be part of the malevalant energy I feel, oppressive extreme darkness , evil .Jim , he reminds me who I am. I get grounded somehow. Stronger. And fatalistic.

Most brilliant man to ever be a lead singer ... he was the first true rebel rockstar frontman but he was so much more...he was a genius and and exceptional human being who just SO happened to sing in a band... and he had a deep understanding of human nature history and mythology he definitely had multiple sides... but most genius people do...he could be incredibley volatile and brutal. or gentle sensitive and thoughtful.... he scared the shit outta the establishment cause he was so intelligent... but also primal... and in your face n didn’t give a fuck about the bullshit rules of society... he knew there was something much bigger. and tried to show us all this truth...and they tried to get rid of him because of it...one things for sure never be another James Douglas Morrison... EVER

What is more rare than a genius (168 I.Q.), wild, badass, poet inventing the timeless image of "The Rock Star", with the best voice and face ever ...anywhere, ever, who finds the perfect band and dies mysteriously, leaving before we had to see him decay. "There will never be another one like you...another one who can do the things you do" I read his long lost poetry and loved most of it. I've read 20 books about him, including some wonderful fiction ("Burn Down the Night" and "Jim Morrison's Adventures in the Afterlife" by Mick Farren (great), "Lucifer" by Randy Pratt, and "The Poet in Exile" By Ray Manzareck...every book, he becomes a little different.

I 've always been a bit obsessed with Jimbo and the DOORS, now, at 67, I've gone into overdrive with Pinterest...I may have the largest collection of pix ...not bragging, more like confessing. Weird, I'm a pro bass player, that the band with no bass player...what ever. Yes, I believe Jim, with, I bet, no make up artist or stylist following him around, was the most beautiful human I've ever seen. That alone wouldn't even register with me. He's also a genius ( 168 I.Q. ) and , really "Invented" the image of the stand up, lead singing rock star, which I doubt can ever be bettered, had an amazing voice, song writing, always thought provoking and, I hope accidentally, made the perfect, tragic, mysterious exit ... Not that it matters, but I'm completely hetero...your video is a perfect gift ...thank you for sharing you talent.

But dont forget Jim was really frustrated by the fact everyone saw him as a rock star. Instead of a great poet. And now he is dead and everyone see him as great talented poet. Hope he can see that from heaven. Because he is really a great poet
