This is one of my favorite songs. It’s always been this perfect champion for unrequited love. If this person could just “open their eyes” and see that soulmate love right in front of their face! And my favorite part has always been the instrumental bridge @ 3:26-4:57. I imagine it as the part in the song where the person’s eyes are opened for just a moment to glimpse what an amazing, beautiful life they could have together. 😍
This video has been in my head for years! I’m so happy that I finished it and that I can finally share it!
I've seen many Jam edits made with this song over the years and they were all so inspiring that I only wanted to make one of my own even more! 😁 I would like to give a shoutout to 2 of the best edits I've seen with this song and pairing...
1) The first one was made I think right after season 2 finished airing and it was removed for CR issues years ago. I had found it reuploaded on another site but unfortunately it appears to have been removed from there as well. Regardless, the editor's name was Alison and it was awesome so thank you! 💝

Omg!! This is stunning! Such an original video, I loved how the first half of the song you showed the trajectory of their relationship when they were just friends with crushes, leading up to the kiss, THEN BOOM THAT CLIMAX! I absolutely love your editing style! I love the getting so tired and so old because he is tired about Roy and how he can’t get Pam. I really love the sad Pam scenes with Roy, and I love when it says walk in this dark room and she’s on the phone with the lights off. Cute that you started with Jim talking and also ended it with that. awesome job ❤️

Bro this is the best edit I've ever seen. The way you went from best friends to them as a couple and you showed a series of every single thing they did: every single hug in order every single kiss, every single interview, every single time they dance together, every single time they were with their kids together, every single time they were at the vending machine, every time he was at her desk, every high-five, that was impressive and I'm obsessed with how it went from all of their most romantic moments and their kisses to easily the most famous scene of them together, their very first kiss as the final closing scene of the video. This is so beautiful it made me cry. Best editing style I've ever seen

I love this edit! The song and all the scenes really work together. And the rest of your edits are amazing too, I love how you match up the lyrics of the songs to clips from the show, and how you can display Jim’s love or jealousy of when he sees Pam with Roy and when he’s with Pam. I lovr how in the first part I was again pissed at Pam for not 'opening her eyee' but then 3:36 onwards had my heart. They are not my biggest ship in the show (Dwight and Angela are), but I like how real they feel and will alwyas have a soft spot for them.

My idea here was to show from a Season 2 perspective like Jim asking Pam to “open her eyes” and see that they are meant to be together. And then the instrumental bridge is like a flash forward/imaginary sequence of what their future life together could be like. Then it goes back to “present time” which would still be Season 2 Casino Night.

Anyway, the edit really looks good. If i can suggest one thing- In my opinion i suppose the end scenario could've been where jim asks pam out - you know kinda sticks to the storyline of the imaginary part you thought to show as, ends with the reality of it as beginning. So it could've been like a loop thingy. Idk just a thought. No hard feelings. I hope you take it in a positive way. I only say this because, i have your best interest in mind :)
