Roppel is always great, and one of the all-time best guests on the podcast. I loved the surfing analogy and the "American innovation solves problems" approach (a more granular take on Buffet's "always bet on America"). Jim also confirmed my interpretation of GBTC's yield being wildly distanced from that of actually owning BTC -- THANK YOU! I wanna buy ETH or BTC direct, but can't hold them in my Schwab or Fidelity Roth unless I'm an "accredited" investor, or have to start my OWN SDIRA? Jim, why not set up third-party crypto (just the biggies) custodial service that can be included in a Roth offered by the big brokers? The first person who can make this happen is gonna take most of the cash on the table for am entire industry. You're welcome. Make the magic happen!

The shorts got f***ed yesterday and the longs got f***ed today. This market is great if you want to just give your money away.

I don't think Bill would be in a hurry to enter this market.

And a day later Jim was stopped out of all his longs. Trend is down. Don’t be confused by wiggles and jiggles.

i think this podcast is a good example for how to be aggressive with the market. jim is completely right, the market did surprise people when it rallied after the FED. it’s shows you how to find stocks to buy in a follow-through day, how to be optimistic about market cycles, how to flex from bearish to bullish in a short timeframe. but it’s also an honest examination of how unpredictable the markets are. i’m pretty sure i felt like that rally was a huge bear trap as well, then to see the next couple days be a beating for bulls. it’s all a good lesson in observing the market.

So with Jim's positions, I was wondering how much wiggle room he gives for his stop? I know IBD says cut losses at 7 to 8 percent. I think the key is even if you get knocked off (stopped out) and that stock looks good again, don't hesitate to get back in. He went in on Fed day and added more exposure. He's probably underwater on those so I was curious if anyone knew his position management techniques. Thanks.

Jim sells 1/3 of his position at -3%, 1/3 at -5% and the final 1/3 at -7% below his entry.

This podcast is one for the ages. It shows you the danger in giving managers access to your money. He's down for the year (probably agreed with Trump that my "401k would go to zero." heh heh) and doubles his exposure the day of the FED announcement only to see the markets plummet the next two days. I bet he sold his FTNT the day after he bought it when it dropped $20 and now it roared back up the next day. I guess he could be a good money manager for me if I did the opposite of what he prescribes. I'll read IBD and do my own research, thank you.

There's a reason he's been doing this for over 30 years. Very naive to judge a fund manager on one years performance in what was a complete chop year. Let us know in 30+ years how you're doing...
