I said this before and I’ll say it again, Jim Ross can make you feel like the world had just ended if the bad guys won, or make you feel like if the entire universe was saved if the good guys won.

Jim Ross knows how to get everything over. His commentary is 2nd to none. He could make even the most boring matches exciting with his enthusiastic calls. He's the only commentator who knows how to speak for the fans as a fan. He can make it seem like everything he says is him and not scripted. Just pure enjoyment listening to him call matches.

Hardy boys vs Doddly boys vs Hege and Christin. . Jeff is on the very top of the ladder inside the ring gonna do his finish move from it. Jr ' Don't do it you tough son of bitch, Think about your career think about your family ' Jeff does it Jr ' My god have mercy on that boy soul '

In my opinion, phrases like “this is a slobberknocker” “he’s running like scalded dog” “he’s stomping a mud hole and walking it dry” “he’s getting whipped like a government mule” “good Gawd almighty he has been broken in half!” has cemented Jim Ross as the absolute greatest colour commentator in the history of wrestling.
