Jim Ross knows how to get everything over. His commentary is 2nd to none. He could make even the most boring matches exciting with his enthusiastic calls. He's the only commentator who knows how to speak for the fans as a fan. He can make it seem like everything he says is him and not scripted. Just pure enjoyment listening to him call matches.

I got one for underrated calls. I never see it mentioned. There used to be a vid of it on youtube but it's not there now. His end of match commentary on Over The Edge Stone Cold vs Dude Love. The part that sticks out to me is when they're showing the replay of Austin using a knocked out Vinces hand JR goes "Vince said the match would end by my hand only. MY. HAND. ONLYYYY!"

I'm not even exaggerating when I say this man and his voice raised me just as much as my own family did. I first started really watching wrestling around 2002/2003 when I was 6 years old, and JR was instrumental in helping me learn about everything and everyone I was seeing every week. At this point, I pretty much consider him to be like a grandfather figure to me. Boomer Sooner, good ol' JR. 🤠
