You are an outstanding human being JR, as your co-host The Body would say "You are telling it like it is".

He did. Jessie said he didn't like Jim. The interviewer points out Jim's comment and Jessie shows his own class. "Did he? Wow. Then Jim is an honest guy then. Respect."

In fact Jim shot Jesse down in one particular match, I think he was talking about a certain WCW wrestler winning a championship in football or something to which Jesse says “oh I didn’t know that university gave out titles to losers” to which Jim responded “you get up there (in the ring) and tell him he’s a loser”. (I forget which wrestler he was referring to, but I’m sure Halloween Havoc 92 was the event).

that's great interplay imo

@markradewagen5075 I agree, that actually sounds like something that Gorilla would say to Jesse.

This is the same issue he had with Paul Heyman. Heyman wanted to rehearse the lines-which wasn't a bad idea in some cases.

Jim Ross wouldn’t put Jesse over. At least Jim Ross owned it here.

Good Ole JR, best there is and was!!!

JR only worked with Jesse only on WCW PPVs and Clash of the Champions on free TV. It's like when Jesse only worked with the late Gorilla Monsoon doing Play by play on the WWF PPVs back in the day. JR worked with Jesse again that one time alongside Lawler when Jesse made an appearance on Raw in Chicago when he was Governor of Minnesota at the time calling the action with them. This was during the angle where Jesse became the guest referee for WWE championship match at Summer Slam in August of 1999. If JR got along with Jesse let him by himself who knows maybe they would have chemistry together

Jesse will be pleased that Jim's taken the blame for there lackluster commentary partnership

Jesse said in an interview that he respects Jim for taking the blame for not putting him over. If Jim and Jesse met again, they could work together.

Ventura didn't fit with WCW southern style ,working in WWF and working in WCW are totally different
@handsolo12092 жыл бұрын
He fit perfectly when he worked with Tony Schiavone.

He fit perfectly. JR didn’t fit commentating at all. He got super over because of like 2 catchphrases. Most matches he got names of wrestlers and moves wrong several times

Jesse was fine with Schiavone, probably just didnt have chemistry with JR.

Like JR I'm from Oklahoma born and raised and it's hard to explain but Ventura can rub you the wrong way. hIs comments can be very stiff and at times he sounds like he is making a very direct insult without any reason for it.
